I would assume so as last I heard was only the set pieces were in place while everything else was getting worked on. I am pretty optimistic regarding this refurb.

Is there any...any hope at all...that the ride will re-open on September 25th? This is my last day and I adjusted my plans just to have a shot at being able to ride it at least once this trip.
Please don't get your hopes up. It'll be a check on the day kind of thing.

Thank you. Not my first, or final, trip so I know better. I'm prepared for it to still be closed, but any sliver of a chance will give me something to look forward to at the end of our trip. (If that kinda thing is even possible). Thank you for the response.
Fix as in make sure the mermaids projections are working? Or fix as in use the original concept for the mermaids in the attraction. Please be the latter.

Hopefully they do not only fix the projection, but also add in some actual Mermaids partially out of the water.
And please....PLEASE bring back Davy Jones!!!!!
I still miss the Peg Leg Parrot too

As many times as I've been on that ride, I don't know how you guys notice and remember all these things LOL.
I just kind of go through it thinking, "hmmm...something's different - cool."

I don't mind the changes to the ride since Depp was added in, but the most glaring and out of style addition was the smoke screen. Horrible.

I still wish they added him In as an "Easter egg" and not change the entire ride to revolve around him. ... Why would the Mayor know, or keep secret of where Jack Sparrow is? It makes no sense.

As much as I'd like to see mermaid figures, I have a feeling they would by mildly terrifying (I have a serious problem with underwater animatronics). Wasn't it said that the figures had already been fabricated but hadn't been installed for some reason?

My goodness how you guys do overthink a theme park attraction. It didn't change the entire ride nor did it change the atmosphere, it's just an added recognizable character to an old story line. It seems like people want a 10 minute ride to tell a story equivalent to the detail in "War and Peace".

I rode Pirates several times last time I visited WDW...I saw no mermaids or anything hinting at mermaids except for the singing and the mermaid skeleton (ick, by the way...she's obviously been tortured to death...is it just me, or is that a bit too dark even for the Pirate ride?)
