Look how crowded Future World used to be

Proof? They did better THEN. Now? No. They are extremely dated, and lame to the younger generation. Sad. Things change, though you may not like it, SOME of its for the better. TT, Soarin, and Mission Space do extremely well. I'm not trying to seem rude but, Im sick of people complaining it was better. Yes, Disney has made some really stupid moves ,but its still Disney, its not dead YET. Enjoy it while its still here.

Even with those crowds, the lines for those rides moved so fast that they probably weren't more than 20 minutes compared to today where Test Track and Soarin' can have 45+ minute lines even on slow days. I'd gladly wait in those kind of lines to be able to ride those closed rides again.

Exactly! World of Motion and Horizons in particular were excellent examples of some of the BEST of Disney Imagineering, and there is no reason they could not have been classic attractions for YEARS to come yet, just like Haunted Mansion or Pirates- OH, except for the fact that they TORE them DOWn- to be replaced by TT and M:S- two rides that have had to be constantly updated because there is nothing "classic" about them. :arghh:

Must of been a holiday! Wow. Great memories looking at that!

If it were a holiday I'd hazard July 4th 1989. Though given the parking lot isn't full and in general it isn't crammed with people I'd be inclined to say it was just a normal day in 1989.

I've stood in lines like that for Motion and Imagination. Horizons didn't have its out front switchbacks set up, Seas wasn't out the door and Energy was possibly about to load the preshow.

I sooooo remember the lines outside Imagination like that. We were what was the equivalent of FL resident seasonal passholders then: Three Season Salute. In the days when the 3 slowest months of the year truly were dead (think walk-on BTMRR mid-afternoon on a Sunday) Imagination would command these switchback lines out the front of the building.

Didn't they both have pretty large indoor switchbacks? Energy always had that outside "group um" queue and SSE was always that wrap around outside queue. I remember that as full many times, but the line went pretty fast. Seem like I always remember, and was impressed by, the inside queues on Horizons, Motion, Imagination. I also think I remember that outside line for the MJ Movie (Why, I cannot imagine). The thing is that as soon as the movie reloaded for MJ and the preshow opened for Energy...those lines all disappeared, and then reform. Except for the first year EPCOT was open, I don't really remember a lot of long waits.
