So I was thinking of leaving my pocketbook and just bringing some money and a camera in my pockets so i could avoid the locker line at FJ. If I am wearing sunglasses, though, will I be forced to get a locker to store my sunglasses in order to ride FJ (or any other ride)? I'm not comfortable outdoors without sunglasses, and if I'm going to have to get a locker for them, then I may as well bring my whole pocketbook. Does anyone know?

Yes unless your glasses can fit in your pocket.

I would wear cargo shorts and put them in a pocket.

OK, good to know. I'm not sure I own any shorts with pockets big enough to accommodate glasses, but maybe I could tuck them into my cleavage! LOL. I'll have to rethink things now that I have this information. I'm glad I asked. We leave in one week!!!

There is a area on the seats of the ride that will fit a wallet or glasses etc. Its not too big but I stick my glasses and phone in there. Its on your seat at the bottom of your lower back. its not that big about the 4 in wide by 4in tall and a couple inches deep. You just have to use it quick before you sit and get locked in. If you look in this picture there is a little notch area right above the 3rd row of circles from the bottom of the seat. That is how you open the area.

Really??? Never noticed but I make sure I wear secure shorts to the parks. LOL. As one kid said to me after his phone flew away on a ride, "I'm not wearing those grandpa shorts". LOL maybe not but I still have my keys, wallet and phone punk.

Thank you! That photo is very helpful. So maybe I will tour with my sunglasses.

You should be fine. I always bring my sunglasses and I place them and my keys and phone in that compartment on forbidden journey. It's ideal size for that stuff and you should have just enough time to stow it away as well as get it before you leave the ride too.

Thanks, I also remembered that I generally wear a neck string attached to my sunglasses when I'm in the parks so they don't fly off during outside rides, so I suppose I could just leave them around my neck witht he string tight enough so that they can't come over my head while I'm on the ride - IF the staff lets me.

Pants/shorts with zippered pockets are a must-have for any thrill ride enthusiast who doesn't want to deal with lockers or having to designate a non-rider. A lot of rides can jostle you about, though, which can result in damage to your items. So if they're expensive/delicate glasses, you may want to bring a hard shell case to keep them in.
