You arrived at the final save point of the game in this mysterious waterfall cavern. Save your game and prepare for what lies ahead. You head to the door.

“Inside, the deepest darkness waits, stirred deep in the dark depths of a man’s heart. This is the last haven you’ll find. Are you sure you want to continue?”

“Yes.”

“Remember Sora, you are the one who will open the door to the light.”

The door opens and a blinding light engulfs all of them.

They find themselves in the pits of a large stone crater, which stretches high above their heads, enclosing them in the area. There is no exit out of the area, they found their way in, but it seems there’s no way out. The area is covered in a strong mist, as imbedded rocks in the crater wall seem to grow a strange color. Then, a character appears from within the mist, Master Xehanort. However, not everything is as it seems.

The Xehanort they were all thinking of was the one who spawned both his Heartless and his Nobody, Xemnas, the one who tried to take over Kingdom Hearts before. But they were wrong. This is a different man. Master Xehanort, the main antagonist who was showcased in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Sora questions his reasons for kidnapping Kairi and causing destruction throughout the worlds. Xehanort stated that in order to gain full and complete power over Kingdom Hearts, something he’s longed to do for awhile, he needed a pure of heart, where Kairi came into play.

Thankfully, he had an accomplice, Maleficent. But it turns out, she grew cold feet at the last second and backed out of the plan, sending her Heartless to do the work. Instead, he mentions that she’s focusing on her own “plans”, which hopefully won’t backfire THIS time. Sora’s heard enough. He’s determined to set Kairi free and restore Kingdom Hearts to its former glory. He unleashes the Ultima Weapon Keyblade. Xehanort simply smirks and thrusts out his hands.

Suddenly, the entire crater begins to shake rapidly. Small cracks in the walls, start splitting down the sides of the crater. The cracks increase, as smoky darkness seeps through the wall. From inside, they could see the small eyes of the Shadows, protruding through. Large stones start falling from the crater. A huge stone starts heading straight for King Mickey, but Riku sees this coming and rushes to save him just in time.

However, they slide out of the crater, through one of the cracks and inadvertently leave the battlefield. Xehanort snaps his fingers and a barrier shields the cracks, preventing both escape and access. Then, Master Xehanort reveals his weapon, his very own Keyblade!

-Boss: Master Xehanort-

He may appear to be a meager, old sorcerer, but don’t let his appearance deceive you, he has extraordinary power! He’s one of the most powerful figures to appear in the Kingdom Hearts universe.

Not only does he use physical attacks with the Keyblade, but he also has supreme magical abilities. He can make pillars of earth erupt from the ground and manipulate the wind to create a powerful destructive vortex. Blizzard magic is his specialty. One of his strong based blizzard attacks actually involves him completely freezing Sora over, so that he cannot move. The ice shards then break off his body dealing some heavy damage.

Just keep your safe distance away from him. After he’s finished an attack would be a prime time to move and deal some successful combos. You can always use Cure if your HP ever gets too low.

At the end of the battle, Master Xehanort reveals a dark portal, which he enters. They wonder if it leads the way to Kairi. The Shadows flood from the large cracks in the crater wall. King Mickey and Riku state that they’ll take care of the shadows, while the others deal with Xehanort. Sora, Donald and Goofy enter the portal.
Darkness everywhere.

They enter an Abyss of Darkness. No Color, no objects. Just Sora, Donald and Goofy on an invisible, yet solid ground. Then, a huge Ship of Darkness appears from within the dark abyss, commandeered by Xehanort, himself. The entire ship is made of parts of fallen worlds. From what can be seen, in the front of the ship, we could see a few forest trees. Next, appears to be a worn out stone wall. On the opposite side of the ship, we see what appears to be a very stylistic building. You see a few torn and destroyed buildings, which surround the center of the ship. In the direct domed center of the ship, a dark thorned cage is located. Inside, appears to be a large doorway. Hoisted above the dome, Xehanort floats, Keyblade in hand. He summons his Guardian to deal with the trespassers.

-Boss: Guardian of Darkness-

Thankfully enough, you have a constant flying ability for this battle. The Guardian…looks sort of familiar. He kinda looks like Xehanort’s Heartless and Xemnas…combines. The Guardian wields a double-edged scythe. Xehanort watches the battle take place, but he can still attack you, as well, even though he’s not the primary target, so just completely steer clear of him.

The Guardian flies rapidly about the area, so be sure to fly just as quickly away from him, in case he attacks. This boss shouldn’t be too difficult to defeat, but he can provide quite a challenge if you’re not careful.

After the battle, the Guardian writhes and disappears in a smog of darkness, having been defeated. Although Xehanort’s Guardian may have defeated, it doesn’t mean he’s ran out of backup. It seems he has several tricks up his sleeves. He holds out his hand, which reveals a large Eye of Darkness, which masks the front of the large ship, acting like a barrier for Xehanort. The eye opens and reveals a portal in the pupil. Sora, Donald and Goofy fly through the eye.

-Boss: Oathkeeper’s Approach-Shadow Assault-

They find themselves standing on a large version of the Oathkeeper Keyblade, floating in the midst of a completely dark room. On the blade, several hundred Shadows begin to appear across the weapon. Sora, Donald and Goofy must defeat the enemies in order to escape from this room. It seems like the Shadows just keep coming, without any stop. But soon, all of the Shadows are defeated and the Eye of Darkness appears again. Sora, Donald and Goofy exit through the eye.

Back in the Abyss of Darkness, the Eye of Darkness is closed off. Suddenly, from behind the Eye, Xehanort sends out a new Heartless being, made of Gummi Blocks.

-Boss: Gummi Barrage-

All over the ship, several Gummi Blocks appear, each sprouting several Heartless to do away with Sora and the others. The Gummi Blocks actually spew Gummi-created Heartless. The best way to take care of these enemies is to destroy all of the Gummi blocks first, in order to get rid of the flow of creatures. After the blocks are destroyed, then go after all of the smaller monsters. It’ll help the battle go by a lot easier and quicker.

This battle shouldn’t be that hard at all.

After the fight, Xehanort is relentless to give in. The Eye of Darkness opns and Sora, Donald and Goofy procced through.

-Boss: Oblivion’s Keep- NeoShadow Assault-

Sora, Donald and Goofy now find themselves on a huge Oblivion Keyblade, surrounded by nothing but darkness. Across the blade, several NeoShadows appear. This fight pretty much takes from the first fight on the Oathkeeper Keyblade. After all of the NeoShadows are defeated, return and exit through the Eye of Darkness.

Sora, Donald and Goofy fly out of the eye and are immediately attacked by a Heartless creature.

-Boss: Dark Mirage-

This shifty creature uses the remains of the destroyed worlds in order to hide from the team. The enemy will eventually reveal itself from within the destroyed remains and rush forth to attack the group. This monster attacks with brute force and will stop at nothing from destroying you.

When the time is right, head in for some major combo attacks. However, the monster will eventually turn itself invisible, but if you use the Lock-On command, his destination will quickly be revealed, so this fight shouldn’t be too hard to win.

After the battle, the Eye of Darkness opens, yet again, and Sora, Donald and Goofy fly inside.

-Boss: Kingdom’s Reign-AlphaShadow Assault-

On this final Keyblade, Sora, Donald and Goofy stand on the Kingdom Key, surrounded by darkness. Suddenly, several AlphaShadows begin to appear at a rapid rate. In this fight, it seems like the Heartless never end. However, they do leave behind quite a few valuable potions. At the end of the fight, the last AlphaShadow is defeated and the Eye of Darkness returns. Sora, Donald and Goofy escape the Chamber of Darkness.

They exit the chamber and are now back in the Abyss of Darkness, as Master Xehanort openly taunts them from behind his impenetrable barrier, the Eye of Darkness. Let’s show him how impenetrable the darkness really is!

-Boss: Eye of Darkness-

This fight is short and simple. Nothing can physically harm you. Just prove that you have the strength to destroy the barrier with the power of the Keyblade, that’s all you have to do. The barrier shatters, as Xehanort’s shield proves useless now.

-Boss: Master Xehanort II-

Quickly do away with this leader of darkness. Don’t give him the chance to attack, just let all your strength out into each attack. If he doesn’t get the chance to attack, he’ll perform one of his moves that he did earlier. Before long the string of battles will end and Xehanort disappears.

The thorned cage disappears and access to the doorway is granted. King Mickey and Riku arrive on the scene, ready to save Kairi. Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku and King Mickey all enter the doorway. Inside, Kairi is found in the mysterious locked prison. Sora splits the prison bars in half, allowing Kairi to be freed. After escaping they embrace, but Donald and Goofy be sure to tell them of the mounting force of Heartless approaching from the outside. They rush outside to deal with the creatures. After this fight, they can finally return home to their island.

They approach the sea of Shadows, wielding their mighty weapons. Just as they are about to attack, Xehanort’s voice is heard throughout the Dark Abyss, before darkness spreads across the floor and engulfs them all in it.

When they awaken, they find themselves on a floating rock landing, which seems to be flying at hundreds of miles in the air. Stars shoot past and fly into the darkness. Suddenly, a few worlds fly past. There’s Atlantica and Olympus Coliseum. And over there, there’s Fairytale Forest, Enchanted Dominion, and Port Royal. All of the worlds in the game and prior, seem to be flying past and into the darkness. Xehanort stands on the edge of the landing, stating how soon, all worlds will fall to the darkness, leaving only the Kingdom of Darkness.

But, Sora thinks otherwise. As long as there’s a little light left in each world, it can push the strongest darkness away. Xehanort cannot believe such idiotic statements can be made from a kid who made it this far. He states that darkness will be constant for an eternity.

-Boss: Master Xehanort REVIVED-

This is it. The final battle of the game. Show Xehanort everything you’ve learned! Xehanort will continue to do all of his prior attacks, such as his physical keyblade attacks and the Ice Freeze attack. For the first half of the battle, it’ll be more or less the same as the first battle with the powerful sorcerer. The fight resumes as the worlds circle around the battlefield. Now, that his HP is about halfway depleted, Xehanort will start performing a new string of attacks. He now teleports from place to place and performs an Ice Fury attack. This attack can be easily dodged by gliding out of the way.

Now, his most prominent attack is featured. He turns his Keyblade into a ball of blue energy, which he shoots up to the sky, summoning Kingdom Hearts. The huge moon shaped heart appears in the sky, the embodiment of Kingdom Hearts. He begs Kingdom Hearts to let down a powerful ray of energy for him to control. Kingdom Hearts starts to build up a ray of energy. Continue hacking away at him!

As the fight proceeds, you notice all of the worlds start to glow brighter, almost as if they’re pushing the darkness away. Are the inhabitants of each of the worlds putting their efforts together to assist Sora? The fight continues, as the ray of energy builds up in Kingdom Hearts. Continue fighting Xehanort until his HP is depleted. You swing your last hit at Xehanort with the Ultima Keyblade.

Master Xehanort, calling out to Kingdom Hearts, professes his need for the energy, waiting for the power to be bestowed upon him. Suddenly, the worlds themselves begin to build up energy. Master Xehanort is finally going to get his desire, to have the complete power to rule over Kingdom Hearts. Suddenly, a blinding ray of light shoots from within Kingdom Hearts and all of the encircling worlds, sending them straight through Xehanort, as he screams in agony. The light is so blinding, that Sora and the others cannot even see. When the light disappears, no trace of Master Xehanort is seen.

With the defeat of Xehanort and Kairi’s rescue, there’s only one thing left to do: restore Kingdom Hearts. Sora, Riku and King Mickey draw their weapons and point them skywards, towards Kingdom Hearts. Together, a ray shoots from within all three of the weapons and the Darkness found within is vanquished! Kingdom Hearts is restored and all of the worlds are saved! Their mission is over and they can finally return to their island.

They all start to head out, but wait. Sora notices that Riku’s not following them. What could be wrong? The group stops. Sora goes to tap Riku on the shoulder, but he finds out, that his hand passes right through him! Riku states that he knew this would happen. Sora’s trying to figure out some sort of explanation, but Riku insists that things will all work themselves out, as he begins to fade away. Sora tries to prevent it, but it seems like there’s nothing he could do. He promises to return, but in the meantime, he wants Sora to take care of Kairi. Sora silently nods, as Riku disappears out of sight. What has happened?

They all arrive in the Secret Place on Destiny Islands. As they are about to exit, Sora notices the glowing Keyhole, appearing in the doorway behind him. Kairi, Donald, Goofy and King Mickey all stare in wonder, as the Keyblade seals the keyhole and the door re-appears, sealing the Kingdom of Darkness forever. They all exit and make their way towards the beach, where King Mickey’s Gummi Ship is located.

Donald, Goofy and King Mickey promise them that they’ll see each other soon and that their hearts will always keep them connected, forever. Sora and Kairi wish them all goodbye, as the Gummi Ship blasts off into the sky. Mickey’s classic laugh is heard, as Donald screams, and Goofy’s classic yodel is heard. Sora and Kairi stare at the water, crashing on the shoreline of the beach, as the setting sun fades behind the horizon.

The credits roll, as Utada Hikaru’s “Heart Train” plays.
Throughout the first section of the credits, screenshots of the most pivotal moments of the game are displayed on the screen, before setting in on one final image of Sora and Kairi on the beach together.

In the second half of the credits, small teasers are displayed on the left side of the screen, as the credits roll on the right side of the screen.

In Disney Castle, Chip and Dale are ecstatic to see the return of King Mickey, Donald and Goofy. Daisy chastises Donald for being gone so long, while Goofy trips over the Broomstick’s bucket of water. Somehow, Pluto remains peacefully asleep throughout the scene. King Mickey is seen hard at work at his Library desk, almost as if he was pondering over something. Queen Minnie smiles warmly over the scene.

In Chateau de France, Belle is seen dancing with Prince Adam, in the Ballroom, as her father watches on. The human incarnations of Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and all the other enchanted objects smile, as they are all thrilled to be human again.

In Coral Sea, Nemo swims about the open waters, along with Dory and Marlin. As Marlin looks behind him, he is shocked to see Mr. Ray, Bruce, Anchor, Chum, Gill, Peach, Bloat, Gurgle, Bubbles, Deb, Jacques, Crush and Squirt all following them, as they swim the open seas, together.

In Castle of Dreams, Cinderella and Prince Charming ride off from their wedding at the palace, in their carriage. The Fairy Godmother, Jack and Gus all wave goodbye, as they enter the carriage. Cnderella and the Prince kiss, as they ride off.

In Native Camp Grounds, Pocahontas and John Smith look over the river from the overhanging cliffs, as Flit and Meeko scurry by. They are happy to live in the same environment, united as one. A fleet of leaves blow past.

In Fairytale Forest, the dwarves surround Snow White, who lies in a stained glass coffin. The Prince appears from out of the woods. As the dwarves notice this, they remove the glass coffin. The Prince leans in to kiss Snow White. Just as he does so, her eyes flutter open, breaking the spell. The Dwarves are thrilled. The Prince hoists Snow White up onto his horse, as they ride off into the distance, towards a clouded castle in the sky.

In Olympus Coliseum, Hercules and Meg celebrate on Mount Olympus. Phil looks ecstatic, as does Pegasus, Zeus and Hera. In an unknown, forgotten ancient museum, a clay pot boasts the image of Hercules, Sora, Donald and Goofy, Olympus Coliseum’s true heroes.

In Toontown, Eddie Valiant is hard at work in his office, where Baby Herman is seen complaining in the background. Rogert Rabbit is enjoying one of Jessica’s performances at the Ink and Paint Club. Benny the Cab, wizzes onto the screen, winks, and then zooms down the streets of Toontown.

In Neverland, Peter Pan pilots Captain Hook’s now enchanted golden ship, flying high over Neverland, with Tinker Bell at his side. At the nursery, Wendy is fast asleep at the nursery window. She wakes up in the middle of the night and looks out the wiindow. In the distant sky, she sees a pirate ship made out of clouds. Wendy smiles and again, falls back asleep on the window’s edge, waiting of the day Peter will return.

In Atlantica, Ariel and Eric are happily swimming about the ocean, together. Their bond is so strong, that no matter where they are, land or sea, they’ll always be together. King Triton watches the scene from his throne room. Sebastian looks somewhat nervous, while Flounder is extraordinarily ecstatic. King Triton is happy with her daughters decisions and can finally learn to let her live her own life. He’s content with his life now.

In Port Royal, Will, Elizabeth, Pintel and Ragetti, distraught over the mysterious loss of Captain Jack Sparrow, proceed to Tia Dalma’s loft. She smiles mischievously to herself, as Captain Barbossa descends down the staircase…

In Haunted Grounds, Ezra, Phineas and Gus swoop throughout the ballroom, disturbing the Organist’s peace. In the séance room, Madame Leota smiles eerily, now that the Heartless have been defeated. She rises off the table, as instruments start flying across the room. She laughs, having a wicked, old time. A floating candelabra floats down an endless hallway and enters a room. Emily pokes her head out of the door and waves goodbye.

In Enchanted Dominion, Aurora and Phillip are sharing a dance in the castle,as Flora, Fauna and Merryweather happily enjoy the spectacle. Merryweather, shocked to see Aurora’s dress pink, turns it blue. Flora, seeing this action, turns it back into pink. Fauna just happily stares at the happy couple, as Aurora’s dress proceeds from blue to pink, to blue to pink.

In Radiant Garden, Yuffie and Cid are seen with construction materials, as Cid hauls in a completely new computer system. Leon and Rinoa are seen walking through the Marketplace, passing the several buildings under construction. Ludwig Von Drake, Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, Louie and the Moogles are all seen surveying the area. It seems they are holding blueprint plans for a new transit system Scrooge once planned. Yuna, Rikku and Paine are seen opening their new items shop in the currently under constructed Marketplace. In the garden walkways, Aerith is seen crouching on the ground, twirling her hands, as Cloud is kneeling close behind her. A green mist covers the area, as a sudden growth of flowers spreads across the entire world, making the area radiant, as it once was.

In Destiny Islands, Sora and Kairi are seen walking in the village, the island in the distance.

On the edge of the village, on the shore, Sora and Kairi talk about their adventure and everything that happened. It wouldn’t feel right to return to the island without Riku. They decide that they won’t return to the island, until they can return with Riku. Until then, they’ll just have to spend time with each other, which neither of them thinks is a bad idea.

They have so much to tell each other, all about their journey and they know the story isn’t over yet. The screen pans up to the sky, to the bright sun, behind the clouds. Then, the screen moves in to focus on the shores of the island. The waves crash gently…as a sealed bottle washes along the surface, with the King’s seal on it. The music builds, as the screen goes black.

“Remember Sora, you are the one who will open the door to the light.”

An Unknown Enemy Walks Among Us

(Special Secret)

Three Years Later. A barren wasteland. A canyon of dark rocks and fallen stones. A Keyblade wielder is seen from the distance. Sora, wielding the Keyblade walks down the canyon. In the distance, a figure rises from the mist. His identity, unknown. As the mist fades, Sora sees things clearly now. It couldn’t be…Riku!? The man unleashes his Soul Eater and heads straight for Sora.

“This isn’t the way things were supposed to happen!”

“All for one and one for all!”

“I don’t care what becomes of this world!”

“Some people, if given the opportunity, might become heroes.”

“What’s happened to the king!?”

“Why did time have to pass so quickly?”

Riku lunges towards Sora, who draws out the Keyblade. They make a mad dash towards each other! They are just about to fend each other off with their dominant weapons, and then…

I already have all the worlds planned out for KH4, I started formulating ideas for a sequel about halfway through the game and with it, worlds and scenarios just clicked. But after completing this game just now, I'm going on break for this series, until October 9th, when KH4 debuts. I'm not gonna get into details of KH4 yet, though. There's already a few teasers in the secret trailer.

WOW. FANTASTIC ending. The worlds ended nicely (well, except for the POTC one... but w all know about that). So Riku is STILL being used for evildoing or something? I mean, he's beamed up randomly???? I really didn't like him to begin with, and now we've got this weird disappearance coupled with that... cliffhanger. And as for the cliffhanger, I hate you.

And if the unknown enemy is this stupid Xehanort, then I'll be FUMING!!!!

... but still happy that there's an excuse for another game!

Thanks!!

Well, there is something revolving around Riku, but I can't say what it is. It has something to do with the central plot of KH4. He's not affiliated with Maleficent or Xehanort, but it's something else. He dissapears, and that's explained in KH4. Hmmm. No. Not Xehanort.

As for the cliffhanger, I'm dying to get into it, but it'd just be better to wait. But oh, how things have changed...

Your next one of course, silly! And I thought you said that he was actually "Master" and therefore a totally different character... or I read that wrong. Anyway, do you have a good website for updates on the Dragon's premiere? Every-thing's crashing.

No, he is "Master Xehanort" and a totally different character than any Xehanort represented in the series, other than Birth by Sleep. If you go on to Kingdom Heats Wiki, you can find info of just about anything story, character or enemy related.

The only thing I saw of the new dragon was a pro-shot Youtube video. Probably from the DisneyParks channel. It was edited and proshot, so it might've looked better than what's actually in the show.

Nice, Epic. I understand now. The Xehanort here is the one seen in Birth By Sleep. The creepy looking one. I hope that when that game comes out, it doesn't create inconsistancies with your game. Hemight die or something like that. I've heard a few things about this Xehanort. According to some other fans, the reason the Xehanort from KHI and KHII is also called Xehanort is because he used to have another name and he knew this Master Xehanort and he somehow lost his memory and he can only remember this master's name so he took it as his own. I also heard a lot more about the game. In the trailer it mentioned the word "chasers". I've heard that a definition for that word is "people who make keys". Think about that...

I hope that this thread doesn't close so that we can keep dicussing it.

Thanks. I already know that when the game comes out, there'll be plenty of inconsistencies between the two games. Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty's worlds will be pretty identical. I would have loved it to have no inconsisctencies at all, but that's unrealistic. Though, I was trying to make this game an in-the-moment type of thing, since it's impossible to avoid scenarios that could happen in future games.

I have a whole theory about Master Xehanort and the actual Xehanort, but it's just a theory. Skip if you don't want spoilers, even if it is just a theory. This all takes place in Birth by Sleep. So basically, Master Xehanort had a less-than-worthy apprentice, who's name or character is unknown. Dissapointed with him, he wanted Terra, one on the game's main protagonists to become his new apprentice. Throughout the game, there are several spats between the two, as Xehanort tries to have Terra subdue himself with darkness. This is all a theory, but I would see Terra becoming the Xehanort seen in Kingdom Hearts 2. Master Xehanort could be dead, but is anyone ever dead in these games?

I know the enemies in Birth by Sleep are not called "Chasers", but are called the "Unversed." However, most likely, something has happened to that species, since we haven't seen them at all in KH1 or 2. I'm not going to focus on BBS in KH4, that's just a huge 16 year distance apart. There were only slight ties in KH3 because of Xehanort's lead role. END OF SPOILERS. I plan on bringing the series in several different directions.

  • JESS HARNELL: Roger Rabbit
  • KAT CRESSIDA: Jessica Rabbit
  • ???: Eddie Valiant
  • CHARLES FLEISCHER: Benny the Cab; Psycho
  • JIM CUMMINGS: Baby Herman
  • ???: Judge Doom
  • DAVID LANDER: Smarty
  • JEFF BENNETT: Stupid
IMO, Charles Fleischer should reprise the voice of Roger. After all, if he can still do Benny, Psycho and Greasey, then he can most certainly still do Roger as well.

Since this game has concluded, I must say that I had a great time with creating this next installment and working on some of the themes expressed in the KH series. Thanks to everyone who commented and reviewed this game. I had a blast!

Since the game is over, there could be a few questions out there that might have gone unasked or forgotten, regarding the game. There could be a little Q&A period if any of you have any questions about any aspect of the game.

I have a question: will you have special charms or bracelets or such that allow you to summon summonable characters?
