As I know of the Jungle Cruise is still open. When was it closed when you went? I know they had a refurbishment in October 2000 to put in new boats and refurbish the old ones.

Yes, it's up and running. I was on it about two weeks ago. It's one I don't do very often because of the wait though. The boats have changed. They used to each have different colors (green, red, I think blue) but now they are all sort of a washed out weathered brown... They also did away with the seat padding and opted for a work plank board look which actually makes a little sense because they no longer have to play with the cushions that go over the loading and unloading areas each time people get on and off. Anyone know how long it's been like this? I mean, I don't even remember off hand, the last time I was on it before my recent trip so this is something that could have changed a log time ago...

Hiya Mr. P...

During our visit a few weeks ago...there was seldom a wait...except during the mid-afternoon crunch...
but...starting in early evening it was a walk on....no fast pass required... and late night, we actually stayed on the ride for a second tour cuz no one was waiting...the CM did a great job
ad-libbing cuz he didn't want to regurgitate the same spiel he just finished. Actually, he was funnier the second time around cuz we've all heard the routine a thousand times.

Yes, that played a big part in getting on it the last time I went. I never remember seeing such a short wait for that ride but then again, that day almost everything (including Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and TMAOWTP) was a walk-on...

You got lucky, Mr Promey....I usually have to stand in line for the stuff I want to do... Do you give tours? ;)

I sure do and for you as a good web buddy, I'd be willing to cut my regular fee in half! Don't think that means you can skimp on the tip, though… ;)

I'll get the itinerary started. How many days? I can get you through all four parks in one day if we start early, you don't stop for bathroom breaks and you bring a bagged lunch that you can eat in line and while walking…

I didn't get on that ride last time I was there. It seems that everytime I ride it, I always am last on and end up sitting in the area where people are loaded. The last time I ended up sitting down and it was realllly dirty and it ruined the back of my little fairy outfit. Talk about embarrassment!:(
