So DH and I take surveys to earn money towards Hilton rooms. Anyway, one yesterday was about SW/BG and annual pass options (appears they are considering revamping pass benefits). One of the benefits they were pushing was making the passes transferable! Seems to be a pretty desperate move. Hope the financial situation isn't that dire

It's model available at aquariums and museums, but in the form of guest passes. In that vein it is not too crazy. It'd also be a good way to get locals to go with more friends, either other locals or visitors.

Sesame Place in PA does this program. You buy an annual pass at full rate and get all pass member benefits and then you get a transferable guest pass at a reduced rate. Its very popular there.
