Sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you prematurely. I am your host ~ your trip report host. Here in the following pages you'll see how the Tuvalu family survived Spring Break 2017. Kindly sit back and relax please, and make room for everyone. There's no turning back now......

Well, that's not exactly true. You are free to FIND YOUR WAY OUT at any time. Although I hope you stick around for the tour. There's bound to be drama. ;)

The deets:
Cast: Moi (Tuvalu), Benevolent Husband (Woody), and the only reason we braved Spring Break madness ~ our Teacher Daughter (Em)
Dates: April 1-8, 2017
Resort: Port Orleans French Quarter

Along the way you'll encounter the slowest cast members ever hired by Disney. Farewell performances of Wishes (were there tears?) The awesome Blue Angels flyover. A Magic meet-up with another mother/daughter pair equally obsessed with WDW as Em and me. And the BEST TRANSPORTATION EVER.

You'll also discover the answers to the following questions: Are Spring Break crowds really that bad? (I'll give you a hint......YES.) What the heck happened to the Trolley? And the flagpole? Is the Red Card really gone? Can you get a same-day ADR for Be Our Guest? What about 'Ohana?

And the most-pressing question of all: Will Woody be doomed to sit on a hard chair in our room chained to his PC and phone all week?

Now as they say, "Look alive" and we'll continue our little tour.

We were shocked to find Woody on the phone upon our return. (Said no one ever.)

A quick change into our swimsuits and we were off to the pool. After a long frustrating walk around the deck area (see previous rant post about unattended chairs with a single white towel) we found the last two chairs in the kids splash pad area.

Right in front of this.

Contrary to what you may be thinking, this was a GREAT place to lounge. With our eyes closed, each time the bucket dumped water....

....it sounded like a crashing ocean wave and we felt like we were at the beach! And the residual spray cooled us off. It was a very relaxing way to spend the afternoon (of course the mango margarita and pina colada helped with that too.)

@TrolleyFollower91 Love your butterfly picture!
Thank you!!
LOVE Em's Lilly shorts!
Love the tee and shorts that @TrolleyFollower91 is wearing. :)
Thanks! Is it terrible that I had to have Lilly shorts that matched THAT shirt? :D
@TrolleyFollower91 your photos are fantastic!!!

:inlove: Em's shorts and tshirt! I love the Spaceship Earth close up on the pocket - how original!!!
Thanks for the kind words!

Oh, poor Em! Hope she's feeling better.
She has my complete sympathy!!!! Funny timing - I cut through my fingernail and got the bed of my nail with my shaving razor earlier today and now have that heartbeat feeling in my finger. How painful to have to walk around WDW with a damaged toe!
Em's a trooper with some real Disney legs. The Magic gives you the eXtra ability to play thru pain.
Thanks for the sympathy! I've been hobbling around with this particular injury since August o_O so I've gotten pretty good at pushing through the pain!!
Another trip to the podiatrist after we got home. To say the treatment was unpleasant is probably an understatement, as this is the text I received from Em:
Ever light your toe on fire?
Cause I'm pretty sure I know what that feels like.
To which my very loving mother literally laughed out loud ...
Love her sadness tee...she's my favorite from that movie! I made Joy mad when I told Sadness that in September! lol
...but she very thoughtfully gets me t-shirts of my favorite character :D

Okay I've got to ask. What is @TrolleyFollower91 deep fondness for this attraction? It rears its pretty head on every trip report
It started with a fascination with the MK opening show, where we learned all the Trolley Kids. Then, we memorized the original Main Street Trolley Show (before they messed it up with this seasonal change thing!) and got to know some of the dancers who we would look for and talk to on different trips.

:arghh:  :depressed: :(

Toe is still healing. Antibiotics for the infection. No running for awhile. Countdown to Disney: 52 days.
Massive sympathy like for @TrolleyFollower91. Hope it heals quickly. Ouch!:(

Hope Em is healed by your next trip.

Coincidentally, hubby and I leave for WDW in 52 days as well! Maybe we will end up running into you!

Wednesday, con't

"It's a Five O'Clock World" (anyone remember this theme song from The Drew Carey Show? Or the original 1965 hit? (Not me, I'm not that old).)
AKA quitting time for Woody!!

Em and I pulled him out the door. Okay, not true. Woody was so happy to be done for the day he needed no encouragement to leave the room. :D

Bus pixie dust continued to be sprinkled on us as we immediately boarded the Epcot bus.

There's always a bunch of people in front of this spot. Em had to get creative with her camera.
