Having 2nd thoughts about 1st Disneyland trip

While I love WDW and have been there more than DLR, I have to say that I love knowing that I am in a park that Walt walked around every day. It truly is a magical experience. And I always recommend a trip for those that love the mouse. While WDW is a sprawling world of it's own, the DLR is charming and quaint. Sometimes I feel a little overwhelmed in WDW, but feel very relaxed at DL.

Bottom line... try it, you will most likely really enjoy yourself.

We are devoted WDW fans, but have made a couple trips from Illinois to Disneyland -- and loved it. There's something magical about walking through the castle that Walt built and stood under. The experience is more quaint than the sprawling WDW, but a real Disney fan shouldn't miss it. You have to see what THEIR Tinker Bell does in the nighttime spectacular, and, yes, there is that special appearance by a big-eared pachyderm. It's a special, special place -- if you love all things Disney, you MUST see the original.
