Has anyone become much more excited by science and technology during the past two years?

3 years ago I didn't care about humanity going to the Moon or Mars but then the quarantine hits and I check out Apple TV out of boredom as well as curiosity.

Then the West Coast "Heat Dome" of 2022 happens.

I didn't care about stuff like "Global Warming", "Climate Change", nuclear power, "Fusion", and "GMOs".

I used to show at "Whole Foods" in order to give big corporations like "Walmart" the middle finger.

But since then I have became much more passionate about science and technology.

I also wish we aspired to be better at nuclear power like the French are.

Now I don't care about materialistic and vapid things.

I want the most powerful nations to commit to build a better future.

It boggles my mind that society didn't seem too excited to build a futuristic world back in the 2010s.

It seemed like after 2008 much of American society was struggling to make ends meet while another good portion was living comfortably in McMansions in gated neighborhoods, the reality show demographic.

Nice house in a gated neighborhood, German made car, cushy office job, nice vacations each year, life is good enough already, so why dream of a "Star Trek" future?

No offense to anyone here but that is my two cents.
