Gift rewards and Using rewards towards park tickets

Hello All!
I am new to the rewards thing.

My boyfriend and I are planning a vacation in a couple months. We will be stopping at one or more of the parks. My first question is... I don't have enough rewards to equal a ticket. Can I redeem what rewards I have towards part of a ticket and then use cash/credit towards the rest?

2nd question... I have a couple friends who wanted to gift me some rewards towards tickets. This is a pretty special trip so they wanted to bless us with some extra rewards towards our trip. Is gifting rewards allowed?

I assume you are taking about the Disney Visa rewards card?
1. Yes, you can use rewards dollars towards the purchase of a ticket and pay cash or charge the rest of the balance.
2. Gifting rewards used to be allowed but not sure if that has changed. Call Chase to confirm.
