Galveston

Live in Kansas now. Used to live in Houston. There are good parts of the port of Galveston and not so good parts. Most of the nicer hotels are on Seawall Blvd. about a twenty minute drive to the terminal.
The San Loius and The Hotel Galvez are pretty nice.

We booked the night before our Galveston cruise at the Harbor House. Is this going to be safe?

Plan time before or after the cruise and hit up Galveston Pleasure Pier and Kemah Boardwalk. Moody Gardens is quite nice as well. There's some kind of Houston Citypass thats good for lots of places for one price, the Space Center and the Downtown Aquarium are included. Lot's of little stuff
It's an interesting place, you can tell it wants to rise up and shine but sections of town still needs some help.
