Basically....the trolls were using Anna as a sleeper agent in their "Cold War" against Elsa.

One of Cracked's weakest articles. A) It was already a well traveled fan theory on the internet, and B) it kind of glosses over several elements. "If he's evil, why would he save Elsa?" Because he didn't know where Anna was, and Elsa was the only person who might have known her location.
