FROZEN in the parks

Just saw the first trailer for FROZEN. Looks like a neat world is being created with this one, and its, well...FROZEN landscape/atmosphere is something Disney hasn't really attempted aside from Blizzard Beach....however, the look of Hogsmeade at UNI is set in winter, so I'm wondering if, assuming its popular, they have any plans to develop FROZEN for the parks in any way? Should have set aside a small parcel in all this FLE, just in case....

Anyone have any early ideas on great ways to see FROZEN happen in the parks? Hopefully NOT a Matterhorn re-theme in CA:)

I think it'd be cool for them to incorporate it into blizzard beach somehow. I know that Lilo and Stitch show up at Typhoon Lagoon, but I don't think any characters are at Blizzard beach. Since the theming's already there, it'd be cool to have characters there. Plus, the waterparks are not a great place for little ones. Yes, they have a section for little ones, but it gets old pretty fast. So, if the little ones have to go with their older siblings, it'd be nice for them to have some character interaction, and this would be a good fit!

Norway in Epcot could be a home for this.
How so?

The " theming" is not already there. Blizzard Beach is set in the present, in Florida at a melting ski resort.

Maybe I'm not reading your sarcasm? I can only assume you're being sarcastic though because otherwise your comment seems pretty dense. But, just in case, I guess- Blizzard Beach is full of "snow" - yes, it's present day and the idea is that it has "melted" - but the slides and everything around the park are still made to look like snow. It definitely has the appropriate theming to have the characters of FROZEN do M&Gs there, as much as Typhoon Lagoon is appropriately themed for Lilo and Stitch, anyways.

This is The Legend about Blizzard Beach..
According to Disney legend, a freak snowstorm in the area led to the development of Florida's first ski resort. Naturally, the snow did not last long. This left behind a collection of waterlogged but snow-less ski jumps and chair lifts. The operators were preparing to cut their losses and walk away. However, they were interrupted by an echoing "YAHHOOO!!!" coming from the mountain of melting snow. They looked up to see an alligator, wearing a red scarf and gold innertube, careening down the mountain at top speed. Ice Gator, the mascot, then landed in a pool of melted snow at the base of the mountain with a thunderous splash. The ski resort operators suddenly saw the park's potential, and the mountain of snow became Blizzard Beach, "the most slushy, slippery, exhilarating water park anywhere!"

It's a SKI Resort..Not a Scandinavian Wonderland..

I'm being dead serious. Blizzard Beach is set in a totally different time and place. There is snow in lots of places. The idea of just shoving characters wherever they can loosely fit does nothing for the theme parks as their own creative medium. It just makes them the crass, non-creative marketing vehicles critics have long deemed them.

Keep Moving Forward
Looks interesting! Thanks for posting. I thought it was a "short" film. Another one to add to my list of Must sees!:)

Just to let you know that teaser doesn't have much if anything to do with the official plot of the movie.

Plot -
When Anna (Bell) is cursed by her estranged sister, the cold-hearted Snow Queen Elsa (Menzel), Anna’s only hope of reversing the curse is to survive a perilous, yet thrilling journey across an icy and unforgiving landscape. Joined by a rugged, thrill-seeking outdoorsman Kristoff (Groff), his one-antlered reindeer, and a hapless snowman, Anna must race against time, conquer the elements, and battle an army of frozen, sinister warriors if she ever hopes to melt her own frozen heart.
