We are at WDW and had to get evacuated from Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and almost from Pirates. To us, its kind of cool since you get to see the ride from a different perspective. Just curious if anyone had a favorite evacuation story?

Love to get evacuated from a ride at WDW ... for the same reason ... we were evacuated from the very top of Space Mountain. The family that was up there with us was not happy. I was telling the CM and my husband how great it was and the other family was grumbling.

Recently, I was on Tower of Terror; and after the ride finished, it unexpectedly stopped moving. Only one small light was on. They had to tow our elevator "vehicle" (or whatever it's called) backwards, and then they wheeled over a set of stairs for us to depart. (I think we were in a basement, as they led us to a small stairwell, back hallway, and then an elevator up to the regular loading area. It was interesting to see what was behind the scenes.)

Oh, they offered us an immediate second ride, in a different elevator, for any inconvenience. That was fun!

We were "evacuated" from Ellen's Energy Adventure in the final scene. It was sort of odd to be let go from the ride during the movie portion-it malfunctioned and audio didn't match video. DH was THRILLED as he hates it.

I was at The American Adventure one night, and scene toward the end with the WW2 battleship didn't load properly, so they stopped the show, turned on the lights, and told us over the P.A. that they were very sorry but the show couldn't continue and that we would have to leave... so that wasn't really fun though it just kinda sucked

So at Space Mountain do you just climb on a ladder to go up or down? That place is tall as heck...I'd be freaking out as I'm afraid of heights!

Haha, it doesn't freak me out as much as it annoys me towards the end. I'm happy at the beginning, and over it halfway through, haha.

No ladders were required. There are several areas of the track that are on flat runs. This is where the cars stopped. Alongside these flat runs were catwalks that all connected to the stairs in the center. In the picture I took, you can see the stairs just to the right of center, and just to the right of that is the elevator shaft. There were several cars stopped at various points along the track. When the lights came on, they kept making announcements to stay in the car and that a cast member would be along to help us out. When they got to our car, there were two cast members. They came alongside the car and helped each of us out, one by one. Once we were all out of the cars, one of them led the way down some stairs while the other brought up the rear. There were hand rails all along the way. I don't like heights either and I was fine. One lady on one of the other cars kept yelling "We're stranded! Help us!" The cast members kept telling her to be patient and they would be along to help her as soon as possible. From the time the car stopped to the time we were back outside was maybe 10 minutes.

Also, we had used FP+ for the ride. Once we got back outside, I checked MDE on my phone and we had brand new FP+'s for any ride at any time. THAT impressed me.

that's how most of my family feel about it, so they find my borderline hysteria hilarious. i think its the eyes that get me i'd rather take on the yeti any day!

We were on The Seas with Nemo and Friends ride when it stopped. We were 1 car from the line that you have to cross before the door opens. We sat there for about 30 minutes before they decided to evacuate. Well, they evacuate from the middle to the end, so it would have been another 15 or more minutes, but the CM who monitors the end of the ride let us sneak out. They offered to let us sneak out earlier, but we didn't want to get her in trouble. She also told us some fun stories. I'm not sure I believe her, but she told a story about how they hired a new person over at the haunted mansion and that person was on cleaning duty and cleaned all the cobwebs out! All the very purposefully placed cobwebs! They had to replace them all, and the idea of it cracked me up, real or otherwise.
