What is your favorite quote about Walt Disney (preferably by those who knew him)? I really like this quote from Ward Kimball:

"If you want to know the real secret of Walt's success, it's that he never tried to make money. He was always trying to make something that he could have fun with or be proud of."

(from Neil Gabler's Walt Disney: Triumph of the American Imagination, page 161)

Okay, I'm adding another one.

"I can say I'm the only man who has ever been peed on by a genius." --Roy O. Disney (quoted in the book "Building a Company" by Bob Thomas)

The story goes that Roy and Walt shared a bed when Walt was just a little kid, and he used to wet the bed a lot, and Roy famously (but affectionately) later said, "He's been peeing on me ever since."

"I hope that we never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started by a mouse."
-Walt Disney

Now, Disney is making kids think that "It was all started by a pop star with fake hair."
