Ever had to be evacuated from a ride

Have you guys ever had to be evacuated from a ride? On my December trip we went on Splash Mountain at night and were about to go up for the big drop. Well, we had to sit there for about 45 min. and listen to the vultures.:( We then were told to exit from the boat and wait while they had to get everyone from about the next 30 boats out. We got to walk behind the scenery and out a back staircase behind all of the buildings. At least we got a fastpass:)

Our Test Track vehicle came to a screeching stop on the last curve before coming back into the building. Voice said to stay in vehicle until help arrived. Got to ride it again in just a few minutes and got fastpasses for later as well. This was several years ago.

No never but would die if Tower of Terror broke with me on it, or any rollercoaster as I would be terrified that another train would come crashing into the back of us.
Yeah that would be really creepy and scary on ToT:arghh: Imagine if it happened on Rockin Roller coaster during the loops.

Yup....
July 4, 1983.
Epcot-Spaceship Earth.
We were just coming to the top of the ride before you enter the "Space Room" and the ride stopped.
We waited for about an hour before a CM came to escort us, and about a dozen more riders, down the backstage stairs to the ride exit. The stairway was poorly lit and I had to carry our five year old all of the way down.
It was probably the fondest memory that we have of WDW.
BTW
I've been lurking on the site for a while and couldn't resist joining just to tell this story. :)

Last summer when we went we were evacuated from Pooh in MK. The ride kept stopping and they just eventually turned on the lights and walked everyone out. I know........not very exciting.

Every time I ride RnR I have a panic attack. My kids love it and we have a younger one that isn't tall enough yet so my hubby and I take turns taking our older kids. I LOVE roller coasters, but I HATE being confined in the seat with the over-the-shoulders harness. The last time I rode it when the ride was over we had to wait about 15 minutes before they let us off. I made my 6 year old daughter hold my hand and sing to me. I know.......pathetic. :) I don't know what I would do if the ride stopped and we were stuck on it. Has this ever happened on RnR? What would they do if someone was to have a panic attack? YIKES!!!

A couple years ago I got evacuated from BTM; our train stopped in the earthquake scene and we had to walk underneath the mountain. Strange to see it hollow underneath... They made sure nobody had cameras, cell phones, etc.

We too were evacuated from BTM. We got to see how they make all the different effects like the bat eyes were tin cans spray painted black with holes cut in it. Also had to be evacuated off Peoplemover and we were walked thru a random office.

We were evacuated from Ellen's Energy Adventure, just as the cars were moving into the first (dinosaur) room. I believe some lady holding a small child had decided that the ride wasn't for her and got off of the cars before they started moving. I remember hearing a CM come over the loudspeaker and repeatedly told her to stop moving because of the various gears that are on the floor to move the ride vehicles. Our cars had almost fully made it into the first room, but the room-dividing walls weren't able to close. On came the lights, and out we went.

In Disneyland I was evacuated from Pinochio. It was the first time and it was very cool. Almost got evacuated from Dinosaur...we got on and got off. If we had been a few minutes earlier, we would have been evacuated. That would have been awesome

The last time I rode Maelstrom at WDW, it got stuck just as we were exiting the polar bear area. We sat there for about 2 minutes while the upright bear glared at us and the recorded "please stay in your seat" message played a couple of times. It got going again, though, and all was well.

Once was evacuated from BTMRR. The train was going up the hill in the room with the shaking rocks but stopped and rolled backwards to a point where something seemed to lock; the train stopped. We were escorted down a flight of stairs in the cave through what looked some sort of a machine shop looking place. There was a corner with about 20 pairs of sunglasses under one of the track turns. We could also see the first room and the bats hanging from really big strings on the ceiling.

This January we were evacked from Pirates in the burning the village seen. When the lights came on the scene actually looked pretty much the same, the ceiling is painted black like the night sky. CMs walked in the water and towed us back to the end of the previous scene. We had to walk up onto the scene and through a door. No one really told us where to go so we ended up going the wrong way back through where the women are chasing the pirates in circles. Most were still going, the animatronic skin stops at about the waste and they spin around on what looks like a bike wheel. It was kind of creepy without the music, just whirring. One was stopped but it was right in our path and probably could have clotheslined someone (i wouldn't even be mad if that happened to me, best story ever!). The back of the scene was supported by tons of little crisscrossing metal supports kind of like in a warehouse. We came to a white board and discovered it was the wrong way. Eventually got out and cast members were stationed every 20 yards or so to point out where to go. Our Jungle Cruise Skipper from an hour ago was there. It was cool to see the backside of the building, dry boats, and the industrial buildings backstage. We eventually got FPs and were led through a gate back into Adventurland just outside the PoTC entrance. Really cool experience!
