I've tried many of the drinks from around World Showcase, and yesterday I think I found my new favourite: St. George from France. Honorable Mentions: Torontopolitan from Canada, Gluwhein (sp?) from Germany and the Cider & Black from Rose & Crown.
This will be my first trip to the food and wine festival being over the age of 21. Not being a fan of beer, they got any good mixed drinks?
I love the Margaritas from La Cava del Tequila.
The wine flights in Germany and Italy are great.
Sultan's Colada in Morocco. It's a Pina Colada with Amaretto. Its so good.
I'm usually a beer drinker, but this last trip had a Grey Goose Lemon Citron slushie drink in France and it was very good.
gran marnier slushie in fronce for my wife, me, just a cold octoberfest from sam adams.
margaritas from la cava...sooooo good.
For years, I've been partial to a margarita in Mexico to start the walk around the World Showcase and a pint in the English pub, but these slushies in France people rave about have caught my attention. Next time down, that's going to be a 'must try.' :slurp:
Grand Marnier Slush (either orange or lemon) from France.
The Sultan's Coolata in Morocco and the Gran Marnier Orange Slushie in France. Both are Delicious!!
The Italian Margherita (grappa, limoncello and lime juice) sold in the Italy pavilion is my favorite. Honorable mentions to the Torontopolitan, the single malt flight at Rose & Crown, the Kir Royale in the France pavilion, and the margaritas in La Cava del Tequlia (particularly the blood orange, pomegranate and classic varieties).
I know it's not a Signature drink, but the Mojito from the Refreshment Port is the best one I have ever had. Whether its 90 out or low 40's it is always refreshing. It is so good that while there in Jan this year, that it actually froze to my glove, but I just kept drinking and even ordered another.
The Orange slush, and Mexico Margaritas are always great too.
The Avocado Margarita at La Cava in Mexico is by far my favorite drink. I think many people would steer clear of it because it sounds unusual, but it is so delicious.
Have to try it, what does it taste like??
I prefer the Happy Lychee from either China or Japan in the Food & Wine booth..
However the Strawberry Balsamic drink from Poland's Food & Wine booth.. Not so much, and I love balsamic and strawberries.....
Champagne from France, I think. There are some great drinks out there though, Strongbow and Harp from Rose & Crown, Proseco in Italy, oh it goes on............:slurp:
The Grand Marnier Orange Slush in France gets high marks from most but I didn't really care for it. A beer from Germany always hits the spot but I think the Grey Goose Citron Lemonade slush was to DIE for!
The Avocado Margarita at La Cava del Tequila in Mexico.
Very refreshing. So delicious. Does not taste like guacamole which is what I was expecting, lol. It's absolutely delicious!
Honorable mention: Grand Marnier Orange Slush
The Grey Goose Lemon Citron from France is my favorite...and then I enjoy the beers of the world...
