Epcot entrances

When we visit Epcot on our next visit we would like to break it into 2 days like we normally do but do future world one day in the morning to early afternoon and the world showcase in the afternoon nighttime. We we have always just used the main entrance and of course would do that for the morning we visit future world. But, is there a way to use the international gateway or is it the same amount of walking involved? This of course is assuming that the Boardwalk (not the resort) has parking? which from google maps it appears there is but i cant tell if that is hotel only? We have never visited the Boardwalk so I am clueless in that area. Thank you for any advice

Walking from self park to say The UK or France is probably comparable to walking from the front of the normal lot.

But any guest can use the Gateway entrance.

Doesnt sound like it would save any time really then? So there is parking in the Boardwalk area we could use?

Boardwalk has self-parking, but generally it's across the street from the parking lot for hotel guests. That means you have a rather long walk from parking into/through the hotel, out to the boardwalk and around to the IG entrance. It might save you a bit of walking, but certainly not much, if you are routing yourself to/from UK/Japan. But if you happen to be looking at the walk from Norway, much shorter to the main Epcot parking lot.

You can take the boat from the Boardwalk area to the International Gateway.
