Eating while on Kilimanjaro Safaris?

Do you know if we can eat or drink while on the Kilimanjaro Safaris in AK?

I don't think you can bring food and/or drink on any ride. And at KS, with the animals, they may be too afraid that some food, or wrappers, would end up in the savannah.

That's what I thought but I thought I would ask anyway I was trying to figure out if I should go grab a coffee before doing the early morning safari and drink it while I was in line, but then I was worried I would have to throw it out if I got to the front of the line and still hadn't finished it.

You know it's not a real 2 week safari, right? It's like 20 minutes long. Surely you can survive the ordeal?

It would be dangerous taking a hot coffee on that ride. It is very jerky in places you could burn someone or yourself, or ruin your clothes if it spills.

I've taken coffee on the ride before. I thought they'd tell me to throw it away but they didn't.

Im pretty sure it would be too dangerous to take any kind of food on a ride that has live animals.

Good news is- there is a Joffrey's Coffee kiosk just before you enter into Animal Kingdom.
Grab a coffee there..you'll be finished before you get on the ride.

If that ride has a long queue, you can drink it while in the line while waiting. They usually have trashcans throughout the line.

As another poster mentioned, the ride can be very rough; I wouldn't try to take anything that could be spilled. And if you had it in some sort of travel mug with a top you a liable to knock your teeth out with it.....

If the wait was 60 minutes I wouldn't be drinking coffee BEFORE the ride either.
As another poster mentioned, the ride can be very rough; I wouldn't try to take anything that could be spilled. And if you had it in some sort of travel mug with a top you a liable to knock your teeth out with it.....

And No... the driver will not pull over and stop for a pee break.

If you do drink a pot of coffee before your ride & you have a weak bladder - ask to sit in the front of the truck. It's not as bumpy.
