You mean if I didn't have a DVC membership, wanted to purchase a membership, and wanted pay the entire amount up front, would I take a 4-5 year hiatus from WDW?
If one cannot flat out afford to buy into DVC, it isn't the best vacation investment to make, so it is indeed wise to pay it all up front and not throw a bunch of money away in interest payments.
If taking a multi-year break from WDW was needed to save up the money to purchase a DVC membership, I would give it some serious thought, but would potentially limit myself to a vacation every 2nd or 3rd year (meaning longer to save up the money, but less chance of going into WDW withdrawal :lol: )
