DVC Boardwalk Villa room requests?

Hi-we'll be renting pts for the first time and staying in a BWV standard studio.
Can any vets tell me some tips on where to request a room (floor, location, that sort of thing).
Any and all tips on the BWV would be appriciated!

Try to get a standard view, you'll save a lot of points (or money)

Three catagories.

Standard(less points, view of front entrance, fountain, grass)
Preferred Boardwalk(view of Boardwalk)
Preferred(view of water, pool, but not Boardwalk)

You can ask for near elevators to cut down the walk. Top Floor is always nice, better chance to see fireworks from standard or preferred boardwalk.
