As someone who has been to Dl numerous times, however, as we are reaching a much more frugal point in a lives, and we are wanting to experience the 60th, what ways are there to shrink the price tag of a trip to So Cal. Any Help appreciated.

Find and follow the discounts that may be offered in the off-seasons. September, early November tend to be good times with lower hotel occupancy, so Disney may lower rates on them.

The Good Neighbor Hotels are a great way to shrink the price tag. I highly recommend The Annabella...we got an upgrade that included free breakfast the last time we stayed there. The Eden Roc isn't too shabby either...slightly longer walk, and they have been upgrading their property and rooms recently.

Here are a few things you can try:
You can get your tickets from discount vendors like Orbitz, Cheaptickets, GetAwayToday and way.com. If you have a Target Red Card you can buy Disney gift cards at a 5% discount (same discount at Sam's Club as well) and use the gift cards to pay for meals and merchandise at the parks (and some places in DTD like World of Disney). You can also sign up for Ebates and go through that website to get to places like Orbitz to book your room (or buy tickets). You can get a certain % cash back (though it is sent quarterly so you have to wait on the money). Some of the hotels like the Red Lion and the Clarion are a short walk to the Toy Story Parking lot, where you can take the free shuttle to the parks. They tend to be cheaper hotels than the ones directly across from the resort entrance. Also you can look for hotels that have free breakfasts and save some money on food.
