Do I need to buy separate park tickets?

We have an upcoming trip where we are staying 2 nights off property and the rest on. If we decide we want to go to the parks one of the days we are staying off property, do I have to purchase separate park tickets, or can I just add a day to my ticketsurprise I already purchased? Not sure if it mattersor not, but we will be staying off property first.

You can add additional days up to a maximum of 10 (if you are from the US, I believe it is 14 if you are from outside of the US). Example: if you have a 8 day ticket you can add up to 2 more days to bring you to 10. You can not have a 8 day ticket, use 2 days, then add 4 more.
