Disney's Dark Kingdom

Okay with all the changes coming to the parks, particularly Hollywood Studios, I'm not under any delusion that this could happen anytime soon.

But i believe it's been verified/confirmed that Disney was at one point considering adding a Dark Kingdom, a fifth park to perhaps rival the more intense rides at Universal.

Just for starters, you could base it around Maleficent's Castle as the main backdrop (ala Cinderella's Castle. That could include a ride (maybe the big one), a restaurant with Villain characters, and some shops. You could have Madam Mim, Chernabog, Claude Frollo, Horned King, and of course, Maleficent to name a few.

You could also then segue to Dark Main Street (or a better name), which would be stacked with 2 smaller rides, 3 or so restaurants, and about 5 shops.

Cruella could be a feature here, having a restaurant and/or fashion shop. You could also have a voodoo shop with Dr. Facilier, and a Ratatouille restaurant with the title character dealing with sassy characters making odd dishes. Additionally you could throw in a restaurant/shop for the Hitchhiking Ghosts from Haunted Mansion.

A third land could be based around Jafar. A lot of intense rides like Adventureland does, but it could also include Hades, Iago, Shan Yu, Pain and Panic, the Fates, and Clayton from Tarzan. The more adventurous villains.

A fourth land could be Ursula's Cove. That could have one big ride, some great shops, and an under-the-sea based restaurant. Ursula, Morgana, Flotsam and Jetsem would be featured, but you could also tie in other underwater figures/rides to base around them, like Captain Hook and Mr. Smee, as well as Monstro from Pinocchio. You could also include the villains from Finding Nemo/Finding Dory, maybe as a kid-friendly reprieve.

A fifth land could be a land based off of Scar, which would include Shere Khan from Robin Hood, Kaa, Hopper from A Bug's Life, and maybe villains from the Good Dinosaur?

A sixth land (and a fan fave) could be based around the Queen of Hearts, with pink elephants, heffalumps and woozles, and of course the Queen of Hearts. You could have some great rides there, an absurdist restaurant, and some fancy shops.

For a seventh land you could find a dark replacement for Fantasyland (located right behind Maleficent's Castle, the centerpiece). Here you could include some of the villains from Brave, and some of the more classic evil queens (Lady Tremaine and the Evil Stepsisters from Cinderella, the Evil Queen from Snow White, Mother Gothel from Tangled, Hans from Frozen, Kronk and Yzma from The Emperor's New Groove), and it would be, in comparison to the other lands, a little more kid friendly with small dark rides like how they did Peter Pan and shopping and small dining areas.

And finally, you could have a real crowd favorite in Halloweentown, which could have a few big rides, some great Halloween-themed shops, and have Oogie Boogie, Sally, Jack Skellington, and all the faves from that beloved movie. You could also throw in the headless horseman.

I'm not sure how to tie in Monsters Inc. (maybe they don't belong in that park), but they could be Main Street characters as well.

Just food for thought, and any specific ride ideas would be greatly appreciated. It would also make for a great late-night fireworks show, and perhaps the park could be open a little later than the other parks.

When people type ideas like this, is it the thought that you want Disney to steal your idea to build what you pitch?
