Stepping off the pier landing, you pass under a bridge and into World Showcase. World Showcase is a land that brings countries miles away from each other within a few feet away. The area is split up into five different sub-lands.
Italy
After passing under the Italian stone arches, you find yourself in a circular courtyard, adorned with lavish detail and statues. This pavilion is relatively smaller than the others. There are no actual attractions in this land. Here, you'll find the Enoteca Castello and the La Bottega Italiana gift stores. You might want to stop by L'orignale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante for some great Italian food.
United Kingdom
In the UK, you'll find a beautiful London square in the rural countryside-via a bustling urban English street, framed by buildings. After entering, you'll find The Crown & Crest and the Tea Caddy shops to your right and left. At the back of the square, The Rose & Crown Pub dining restaraunt is located. To the left of the restaraunt, you'll find Mary Poppin's Jolly Holiday, a dark ride based on the Disney classic. To the right of the restaraunt, you'll find the classic Disney attraction, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. The attraction, which originated in the Magic Kingdom, has been enhanced and modified.
Big Ben, the clock tower, is seen behind the buildings (using forced-perspective, making it seem larger than it is).
Mexico
A tangle of tropical vehetation surrounds the great pyramid, which encloses the pavilion. Inside of the pavilion, you'll find a re-creation of a quaint plaza at dusk (the ceiling is a scrim, with colors projected on it, making it look like the sky.) In the Plaza de Los Amigos, you'll find a variety of Mexican artworks and stands selling handicrafts. The Mariachi Cobre band plays daily in the indoor plaza. At the back of the plaza, you'll find El Rio del Tiempo: The River of Time. This ride takes guests on a slow moving boat ride through the country.
Switzerland
You'll find yourself in a lovely Swiss village. Icicles hang down from the roofs of the houses. Mounds of faux snow are placed against the side of the buildings. Here, you'll find the Toy Soldier and the Switzerland Shoppe gift stores. At the back of the pavilion, you'll find The Matterhorn, a rollercoaster through an icy mountain, as a rapid Abominable Snowman is chasing after you!
Canada
This area is complete with it's own mountain, waterfall, rushing stream, mine, and beautiful gardens of flowers. The Hotel du Canada rises above the land. Inside, you'll find Le Cellier, a great dining experience. At a stand outside, you'll find the Northwest Mercantile. Wrapping around the rocky exterior, you'll find O, Canada! a Circle-Vision 360 motion picture. Next to the ride, you'll find Rhine River Rapids, a rushing rapids water ride down the rocky Canadian mountains.
You exit the courtyard and arrive at Volcanic Valley.
