Disney Yearbook

Did anyone else get the offer for the Disney Yearbook in the mail? For those of you who did not get one, it is a hardcover book recapping all the events that occurred in 2005. It cost $50. By purchasing it you are also subscribing to it each year. What were your thoughts about this? It didn’t look like anything more then an expensive marketing ploy to me.

I've been getting e-mails from Disney Insider about it for a few months now. I think it may be interesting because it includes the 50th celebration. Since I'm not going to be in any other parks besides the ones in WDW, I'll be able to see what is going on elsewhere. It may be a marketing ploy, but it's Disney. If they can get away with a 20 oz bottle of Coke being (what is it?) $3.50? in the parks, they can release a yearbook, right?
