i'm surprised they had to fight for a martin luther king holiday. i thought every company had that. shows how disney is still in a time warp.

I honestly don't think it's a time warp thing....Disney is on the forefront of any politically correct issue....If Disney made widgets, I could understand the Martin Luther King holiday....but this is a theme park that is open all year long on every major holiday. They must be concerned about the impact this would have if black cast members decide to take that holiday off.

based on observation, i don't think wdw would be hampered too much if its black workers took off one day.

heck, it probably wouldn't matter if both of them took off for a month.
