Disney Vacation Club 25 and Beyond Bash at MK

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Love this news but sadly this is the one year we will not get to go at all. (Have been once a year the past 5 years after skipping a few before that.) Hope they continue some of these new things into 2017 when we get to go back. ;)

I wish they would've brought back the $399 PAP. That was a good deal.
Yes that was best deal I have ever got. I would love to see a dinning plan discount. I know we get discounts on dinning but I love having everything paid off. I am happy with these offerings I hope that they will do something every week so every dvc member could take advantage most of us plan vacation and can't change them at a drop of a dime

I disagree with the dining plan. I wish they would all go away. It has killed the better restaurants having to subsidize the plan. Why do you think they had to jack up the prices everywhere? So people on the dining plan think they are getting a good deal, when in fact, they are not, and never will. It's like playing slots at a casino. The house always wins, even if you sometimes come out a bit ahead.

Since we are DVC and AP holders, we get the TiW. If you want to "prepay" for dining, then take the amount you would have spent on the plan and put it onto a Disney Gift Card. Then eat they way that you want. You'll be shocked how much you have leftover - unless of course you eat steak every single night, along with an appetizer and a dessert and an adult beverage.

I agree with u on every thing u said here I think the dinning plan has done a lot of bad to dinning in Disney but we no it will not go away. I know I do not save money at all and usually spend 200 more on the dinning plan when I don't. I just like having it all paid for and not adding up things on a daily basis. I have gone the gift card route before but didn't like adding up at the end of the day. I wish there was an option on the dinning plan to customize ur meals or something like that

I don't understand why our discount hasn't bumped up to the 20% that the PAP used to give. I bought so much more then. I mean it is the same discount as the AP of 10%. Kinda silly really. We are the one that go back over and over. Reward us for spending so much there.

The ticket deal to me is not that great it does save some money but for a family of 4 with a park hopper would still make sense just to go with the annual passes I want that 4 day 200 ticket back

The perk is useless for a large number of members. Anybody who workes for at least a semi-large company should look into "tickets at Work" or a similar reseller through their HR department. There are a number out there. I have been getting 5 day MYW with Park Hopper for the price of a 3 day ticket from them for years now.It is one of their standard offerings. No perk needed.

Yep have done this before. I think it was 1,300 instead of 1500 for a family of 4.

Adult beverage - !?! -- not included in the delux dining plan......
Many of us purchase the dining plans due to the ability to just look at a menu and order what we want. There is no requirement for ordering aps or deserts..... it is just being able to order something and not be concerned about the total cost. If I had to worry about the total costs I would not have purchased anything at Disney..... You figure out your 'budget' prior to going to the parks and act accordingly. (of course no tips are included $$$)... WDW is not about throwing away money - you plan your vacations and are aware of the costs before going. It is nice to get a perk here and there - but perks are never permanent.

Hmm, so you replied to a 4 month old post. Interesting. Anyway, why not research the restaurants that you wish or have ADRs for, and then go to one of several websites that have the menu and prices - like this site or say the WDW website - decide within a range of what you might want to eat there, and budget from there?? Put all of that onto a Disney gift card, and use it exclusively for dining. Then you won't be wasting your money on a dining plan where the chips are stacked against you coming out ahead unless you order steak or lobster every single night. If you don't order the apps or dessert, you are definitely losing money by buying the dining plan. Up to you how you wish to throw away your money at Disney, but we decide not to throw any of it away.
