To all who come to this happy place, welcome. This is the place where magic lives. This is the place where true love conquers all and the magic of light and music come to life. The Disney Rio Resort is a testament to the diplomatic bonds of the United States and Brazil. Through the ever detailed history and storytelling key to Latin American cultures, The Enchanted Kingdom brings to life classic Disney stories in all new ways. May this park and resort continue to grow, and may it be ever expanding and never completed, as long as there is imagination left in the world

Mickey Street

As we walk under an old fashioned train station, the first station in the Enchanted Kingdom Railroad, a unique experience based on the traditional train around the berm, where we travel through four very different realms, the old fashioned hometown of Mickey and friends, a mysterious jungle, a magical utopia, and a hopeful future. We continue on to a short street. This is Mickey Street, a throwback to the warm old U.S. town of old themed to the home of Mickey and Friends while hosting us here at the Enchanted Kingdom. We first arrive on Mickey Square. Numerous Disney characters meet here all day from classics like Minnie and Donald, to the newest stars like Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. You never know who'll be waiting for a hug and an autograph. Also, it's a perfect spot for viewing parades like Disney's Happily Ever Afters Parade or Nightfall Fantasy and minishows such as the Enchanted Kingdom Philharmonic.

Continuing on, you see a long line of buildings on either side of you. This is Main Street. Numerous restaurants and attractions wait for your enjoyment. The first thing we see is the Mickey Street Opera House, which is presenting a tribute to the main mouse himself. The Mickey Street Opera presents: It Was All Started By A Mouse showcases the history of Mickey from his early days in Steamboat Willie all the way to todays modern Mickey Mouse cartoons with archived audio, film clips, and animatronics and sets. Next door, Daisy's Sweet Shop provides the sweetest, most fashionable homemade candies and sweets in a bakery themed to the fashionable duck herself.

Goofy's Paint and Playhouse provides a quick and short reprieve for guests as they take a walk into Goofy's house and repaint one of his rooms. The Mickey Street Cinema plays classic cartoons all day and at the end of the right side of the street, guests can dine in the multi storied buffeteria Mickey's Mile Long Bar. This is the largest dining facility on property when the resort opens and features six different themed rooms on two stories with a bar running through each room featuring themed dishes. The Mickey room is themed to the classic 1950's Mickey Mouse Club and filled with American classics. The Minnie room is themed to pink, hearts, and love and filled with French inspired dishes. The Donald room is themed to The Three Caballeros and Saludos Amigos, the two South American set package films starring Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito Pistoles. These rooms are filled with classic Latin American delicacies. The Goofy room is themed to the wild, wacky, and crazy with appropriate food like peanut butter and pickle sandwiches. The Pluto room is a dog's dream, with delicious cuts of meat and bone shaped desserts in a city park. The Daisy room is filled with the stylistic touches also found in Daisy's Sweet Shop, with traditional Italian options on display for guest's enjoyment. So sit down and enjoy the best that Mickey Street has to offer.
shdr-shop-avenue-m-arcade-hero.jpg

Starting from the beginning of the street on the other side, the MM Emporium Gifts is the largest gift shop in the park. Filled with shop exclusive merchandise and almost every non-shop exclusive piece of merchandise in the store, the MM Emporium gifts is perfect for that last minute trip as you exit the park. The facade of the MM Emporium Gifts is several storefronts, with entrances in each one and the interiors themed to the shop you enter through. After Main Street, we continue on to Enchantment Avenue. Two large arches on either end of the avenue beckon us further. On the right side of the street, more entrances to Mickey's Mile Long Bar can be found, while on the left side we find more shops and attractions. Gelato Donaldo is the perfect place for a spot of homemade ice cream, made fresh daily. Minnie's Cafe of Love is a coffee shop where Starbucks Coffee is served in a warm, cozy environment themed to a cafe run by Minnie Mouse. Finally, Mickey and Minnie have their own home together for the very first time. Mickey & Minnie's House is a walkthrough experience filled with interactive elements and astounding, yet simple effects.

As we continue down Enchantment Avenue, we come to two more large arches. These are the entrances to the main hub of the park,
The Gardens of Dreams.

Most likely your going to refuse, but can I suggest adding a original land theme to a ip like Disneyland's Star Wars land, Hong Kong Disneyland's Toy Story land, and Shanghai Disneyland's Treasure Cove?
No IP lands in the Enchanted Kingdom. I'm saving those for Walt Disney Studios. Also, Adventureland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland are so broad as topics I can do anything with them.

Why would Disney build in Brazil when so many Brazilians are happy enough to travel to the North American theme parks ?
Why does it matter? The Brazillians swarm WDW and now they have their own park in their backyard. The Chinese and Japanese go to Disneyland and they have their own parks in their backyard. Also, building a Disney Park is a huge political statement. It's almost a stamp of approval by American culture. Brazil is certainly stabilizing and by the time the park is opened, Brazil should be on the rise.

Simple economics - Disney stumps up $millions to build a park in South America which then drastically cuts attendance at its North American parks - Disney would never recoup that money laid out to build it.
Does it really matter now, we are just imagineering on a thread. I'd say let him go with designing his Disney resort. Besides, nothing's impossible for Disney, so who knows we might see Disney resort in Brazil in the distant future.

This is all blue sky at the moment. The theoretical location doesn't matter to me. Those are the only answers I'm going to give but I hope you enjoy the rest of the resort all the same because I'm not going to argue about a park that, honestly, could go anywhere in the world. If you'd rather, substitute a different region in your head rather than Latin America. To the rest, I'll have the write up for The Gardens of Dreams up very soon.

The Gardens of Dreams are where any wish upon a star comes true. Whether you enter from one of the two bridges on either side of Enchantment Avenue or straight from Main Street. The number seven is king of luck in Braazilian culture, so there are seven gardens organized to bring luck. We start in The Garden of Friends. Much like Mickey Square, The Garden of Friends is where numerous characters gather, this time however, these characters roam around the entire garden. We continue onto Legacy Garden, a tribute to the creatives that have kept the ever present Disney storytelling. Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse stand in the center of the garden with Partners, while new sculptures of Roy Disney with Minnie Mouse, The Sherman Brothers with Mary Poppins, Alan Menkin and Howard Ashman with Ariel, Belle, and Aladdin, Marc Davis with Snow White, Cinderella, and Princess Aurora, Mary Blair with Alice and Peter Pan, Ub Iwerks with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, John Lasseter with Woody and Buzz Lightyear, George Lucas with BB-8 and R2D2, and Stan Lee with Spider-Man surrounding Partners. To the far right of the garden, you can Meet Mickey Mouse himself in a magical indoor garden filled with interactive effects. Continuing on, the Music Garden is the largest garden of the seven, where whimsical topiaries spout music and we can see music come to life in Mickey's Philharmagic.

This update of the classic attraction stars Mickey Mouse in a randomized 3D concert experience. Watch as Mickey Mouse chases his sorcerer's hat through several Disney worlds and ends in a fantastic world of color for a finale.
Rodizio_Gauchos-e1316719733306.jpg

We move onto the south end of the garden with Sonhos, a Brazilian Steakhouse where gauchos serve you signature cuts of meat in a dream-like atmosphere, open for lunch and dinner. Three times a day, The Enchanted Kingdom Philharmonic and Donald Duck lead Donald's Funny Harmony, a greeting show featuring several Disney friends.

We continue on to Adventure Garden, where overgrown plants and trees dominate amongst beautiful flora guide us into Adventureland. The Nomad Drummers often take residence here to entertain guests before moving on to another spot.

Then, we continue into Fantasy Garden where massive rose bushes lead us into the enchanting Fantasyland.
Frequently, the
Royal Merry Makers, come out to entertain visitors.

Straight ahead, we see the enchanting terraces of the
Castle Garden. Filled with small flowerbeds and fountains, the Castle Garden is the perfect spot to view the night time spectacular Disney's Symphony of Dreams, along with another perfect spot to see Disney's Happily Ever Afters Parade and Nightfall Fantasy, the entire garden dominated by Corona Castle.
rapcastle-500x375c.jpg

The royal storytellers Sir Henri and Lady Katrine and their friends frequently come out to tell the stories of Rapunzel, Cinderella, Belle, Aladdin, and Hercules with help from the audience and characters in Enchanted Story Time.

The final garden is
Tomorrow Garden, where Imagineers have gone as crazy as they want to design alien plants. The stranger the better was the rule here and it shows. Often, The Time Warpers travel here to use their faulty time machine. Instead of sending people through time, the machine sends music forward in time.

Join me next time as we venture into and around the massive Corona Castle.

Corona Castle
tumblr_n2wmhnOrYK1s5ptf3o1_1280.jpg

Corona Castle is the main icon for both the Enchanted Kingdom and Disney Rio Resort as a whole. Based on concept art from Tangled, as well as French, German, and Portuguese castles, Corona Castle is the home to the cast of Tangled. While not the tallest castle of the Disney Parks, Corona Castle is easily the most detailed and interactive of the castles. Filled with surprising and magical attractions and experiences, Corona Castle is sure to be a fan favorite. First up, three times a day the elaborate Celebrate the Stories: An Enchanting Gathering of Once Upon a Times plays on the Castle Stage. Featuring floating sets, elaborate costumes, spectacular fountains, and beautiful music, Celebrate the Stories is an elaborate daytime stage show featuring 10 Disney stories and 50 performers.
Note: The Castle Stage is a near clone of Shanghai's Enchanted Storybook Castle stage. It's huge, yet simple and matches my actual vision for the castle insanely well. The show can very easily cut and rearrange segments, with the finale leaving out the corresponding segment.
Castle Stage Layout
Castle%20Stage%201.jpg

The Castle Stage is deceptively elaborate, with room for numerous sets and barges underneath the stage. The two major stage lifts are actually three lifts each, with each capable of independent movement.

Celebrate the Stories: An Enchanting Gathering of Once Upon a Times
hqdefault.jpg

Opening
Several dancers run onto the stage as a trumpeters fanfare begins the show. They sing and dance the opening number and when conclude it, Mickey and Minnie arrive to act as our hosts

  • Celebrate the Dream (Original Song)
Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
Mickey and Minnie introduce the very first story Walt Disney made into an animated feature film as the Seven Dwarves march out onto the stage, singing Heigh Ho, as the stage transforms into a forest. Snow White enters by lift and begins singing Someday My Prince Will Come. Snow White and the Dwarves leave the stage as Mickey and Minnie return.

  • Heigh Ho
  • Someday My Prince Will Come
Frozen
The air begins to chill as Mickey and Minnie, dressed in Norwegian-style garb, tell the story of Elsa, The Snow Queen and her sister Anna. The two enter from lifts on either side of the stage as a large ice palace rises from the upper stage. Anna tries winning Elsa over but she instead freezes Anna. Elsa unthaws the land and Anna as they hug.

  • For the First Time in Forever Reprise
  • The Great Thaw
The Jungle Book
Anna and Elsa sink beneath the stage as the sounds of Indian instruments fill the air. Mickey in Indian attire introduces the jungle that begins growing around Corona Castle as singers in Indian inspired costumes enter. Baloo enters as The Bear Necessities is sung and King Louie's ruins rise from the upper stage with the orangutan sitting on his throne. I Wanna Be Like You is sung as dancers invade the stage, leading to one of the biggest production numbers in the show.
  • The Bear Necessities
  • I Wanna Be Like You
Alice in Wonderland
Minnie appears from a blooming flower in English Garden Party wear as the jungle begins turning into a Tulgey Wood. Minnie introduces the story of Alice in Wonderland as Alice explores the wood and gets lost. She gives herself advice before stumbling on a Mad Tea Party.

  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Very Good Advice
  • A Very Merry Unbirthday
Aladdin
Mickey appears in Arabian raiment, holding a magic lamp. He tells the story of the lamp and rubs it, releasing the magic of the story of Aladdin. Mickey leaves the lamp on a pedestal while Agrabah appears as Aladdin escapes the guards, sticking One Jump Ahead. As he escapes the city, he comes across the lamp. When he rubs it, the Genie appears on a boat in the moat surrounding the stage. In the second elaborate production number of the show, things go wild as Genie tells Aladdin he'll never have a Friend Like Me. Aladdin wishes to be a handsome prince and Genie grants the wish, leading the way for Prince Ali to make his way to ask for the hand of Princess Jasmine.
  • One Jump Ahead
  • Friend Like Me
  • Prince Ali
The Little Mermaid
Minnie appears in a sea foam gown on the center boat as a curtain of fountains covers the stage. Minnie tells the story of Ariel, who desired to go to the human world. The curtain of water seems to open as Agrabah has transformed into an underwater kingdom, with Ariel sitting on a seashell as she wishes to be Part of Your World. Sebastian scoffs at this and tells Ariel it's better Under the Sea, but Ariel denies it.
  • Part of Your World
  • Under the Sea
The Three Caballeros
A loud crash interrupts the show as Donald appears on the middle boat. He calls for Jose and Panchito with a Saludos Amigos as they arrive from the two side boats that move in. A celebration begins as dancers invade the stage to the strains of Have You Been to Bahia and then, Aquarela De Brazil furthers a celebration that concludes with Panchito giving a shout for the three musicians to start their theme song.

  • Saludos Amigos
  • Have You Been to Bahia
  • Aquarela De Brazil
  • The Three Caballeros
Cinderella
Mickey appears in an elaborate suit as he tells the story of Cinderella, who wanted to go to the Prince's Ball so badly. But with the help of her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella went to the ball and fell in love with the Prince. The boats return, this time carrying dancers waltzing in ballrooms.

  • A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes
  • Bibbity-Bobbity-Boo
  • So This is Love
Beauty and the Beast
Minnie appears in a beautiful gown as she introduces the story of Beauty and the Beast, before being interrupted by Lumiere. Lumiere and the rest of the Enchanted Objects invite the audience to Be Our Guest as the third elaborate production number occurs. Belle and Beast appear with stage lifts and both notice there's Something There. The Beast invites Belle to dinner and she accepts. The stage begins turning into the Beast's ballroom as Lumiere plans out the night while Belle and Beast prepare. Mrs. Potts serenades the couple as they dance, Belle admits she loves the Beast and, in a dazzling effect, the Beast transforms into a human.
  • Be Our Guest
  • Something There
  • Beauty and the Beast
Tangled
Mickey and Minnie appear in golden costumes as they tell their final story, the story of Rapunzel. Rapunzel appears on a castle tower and prepares to slide down her hair (actually a zip line) as Flynn Rider waits and discovers her life begins now. She discovers that everyone has a dream in the Snuggly Duckling Tavern.

  • When Will My Life Begin Reprise
  • I've Got A Dream
Finale
Dancers return to the stage as a spectacular finale begins. Several characters who made appearances in the show appear dressed in gold and white on both boats and on the two levels of the stage as short musical interludes lead up to a grand reprise of Celebrate the Dream, finishing with Mickey and Minnie capping the show with pyrotechnics, fire, and fountains. In order of appearance, Snow White, Her Prince, and Dopey appear on the left side stage. Anna and Elsa appear on the right side stage. Baloo and King Louie appear on the left barge. Alice and the Mad Hatter appear on the right barge. Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie appear on the upper stage. Ariel and Prince Eric appear on the lower stage, downstage left. Donald, Jose, and Panchito appear on the middle barge. Cinderella and Prince Charming appear on the lower stage, downstage right. Belle and her Handsome Prince appear upstage right. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider appear upstage right. Mickey and Minnie appear center stage. Dancers dressed in gold versions of costumes from each segment fill in the blank spots as the finale builds up.

Also on the castle stage, every night, our imagination will be ignited with Walt Disney's Symphony of Dreams. The interior of the castle is just as elaborate. Filled with elaborate mosaics and other beautiful works of art, Corona Castle is an art lover's dream. Dine in The Enchanted Storybook, a unique character dining experience where, most of the time, there is no set character list. Visit with royalty in the Royal Greeting Hall where not just princesses, but princes and other royalty meet guests. Not to mention, it's possible to relive a magical fairytale in the Enchanted Gallery. With hologram technology, you can be teleported right into an enchanted land. See the lights with Rapunzel. Clean house with Snow White. Enjoy the ball with Cinderella. The possibilities are only limited to your thoughts. Now we could continue on to Fantasyland, but Adventureland calls us with the alluring Adventure Garden and the Nomad Drummers, so we'll continue there.

Tetsuya Nomura and Sora need to be in Legacy Garden. Maybe also Phineas and Ferb? Goliath and Greg Wiseman would also be a great choice.
Legacy Garden is there to honor people who have been the reason for Disney's continuing legacy. Tetsuya Nomura, while a very creative and artistic person, has more than just Disney and Kingdom Hearts is just a very small mark on his career as a creator. Same with Greg Weisman, very talented creator, but Disney is just a small mark on his career. All the people chosen have been chosen for their associations with Disney and why we still have it to this day.

Cool, but can I suggest wth Night on Bald Mountain a instrumental version of Hellfire for the flamethrowers since Night on Bald Mountain is mixed with Hellfire?
Wait for Halloween

Hayao Miyazaki could be in Legacy Garden or Jim Henson with Kermit.
Both are far more than Disney. Studio Ghibli isn't even connected to Disney outside of being distributed by them in the US. Jim Henson sadly only had a short association with Disney at the end of his life, and in the end did not make a big enough mark before he sadly passed on. In an alternate universe where Mr. Henson is still alive, I would include him in a heartbeat. But that is sadly not to be.

Lucas I would consider adding, but I wouldn't have him with BB-8. I'd probably have C-3PO and R2D2 with him. Update on Adventureland. I'm working hard on it. I've determined that the three large lands should be considered 10 years from opening because of how packed they will be. Stay tuned.
