In an abundance of caution, the Walt Disney World® Resort and the Disneyland® Resort closed our theme parks, water parks, shopping, entertainment and recreation complexes on Tuesday, September 11. Guests were given complimentary tickets upon leaving the parks. All resort hotels remain open to serve our guests.
The Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort reopened Wednesday, September 12 with heightened security measures. Disney Cruise Line® departed on its scheduled three-night cruise September 12.
We continue to work with our guests to accommodate their needs on an individual basis.
Due to the existing situation, standard cancellation policies have been revised as follows:
Walt Disney World Resort
Reservations booked through Walt Disney World or Walt Disney Travel Company Florida for arrivals Tuesday, September 11 through Sunday, September 16 will be rescheduled without cancellation/change penalties, or payments will be fully refunded for guests who do not wish to reschedule their vacation at this time.
Disneyland Resort
Reservations booked through Disneyland or Walt Disney Travel Company California for arrivals Tuesday, September 11 through Sunday, September 16 will be rescheduled without cancellation/change penalties, or payments will be fully refunded for guests who do not wish to reschedule their vacation at this time.
Disney Cruise Line
Reservations for September 15 sailings may be rescheduled or cancelled without penalty. Reservations for September 19 sailings may be rescheduled within the next 12 months without penalty (excluding the December 27, 2001, January 3, 2002, and March 28, 2002 sailings).
