disney marathon weekend

Yep!

I did the half one... I slept for a day :lol: afterwords...
It was my third time... and next year... No More... I'm getting to aold for that ____*t.. (read lazy) :lol:

We really enjoyed it. The AKL was one of the "base" hotels, so there were lots of runners, organizers, etc staying there. We are NOT runners (both of us have bum knees) but my daughter's bf runs track, and my husband ran cross country in college.

We slept in a bit on Sunday, because we knew the roads would be a mess. We got to Epcot around 11; there were still lots of people finishing, and quite frankly, they were the folks who appreciated our cheering them on the most.

THANK YOU! to those who were there cheering us on...disney put on a fantastic race and it was the most organized 24,000 runners you could ever imagine!

I was there that weekend (didn't do the marathon or anything) and it was neat to see all of the people who did it
