Crowd levels last week of April?

In the beginning stages of planning a mid week trip to Orlando, don't want to rush anything during the trip, we don't plan on seeing and doing everything in the two parks, just hoping for a laid back 1 day 2 park ticket for the last Thursday in April and the next day a beach day. So first question what are crowd levels like the last week of April, or is the first week of May better? Second what's the closest and quietest beach near Orlando? Thanks in advance. :)

Last week of April and first week of May won't really show much of a difference. If any difference at all, I would think April would be better, as it's further away from end of school year, *maybe* a tad cooler (but probably not).

As for beaches, Cocoa Beach is the closest, but it is typically not quiet. If you go a little south of Cocoa, Satellite Beach or the beaches in Melbourne can be more quiet. North of Cocoa would be Daytona Beach (obviously not quiet), but between Cocoa and Daytona is Canaveral National Seashore. It's undeveloped beach, but it's beautiful and typically very quiet. Just be careful about going to the northern part of the CNS, or you may find yourself surrounded by nude people.
