Construction Pictures for the project by crystal Palace

I was at MK today and remembered some speculation as to what was going on by Crystal palace so I took some crappy (non smart phone) pictures for you. It does look like the area will be different and it's not just a refresh. The most notable change is what appears to be a footing for a short wall and a reshaping of pathways. I don't know that the paths will be any wider than they were prior to construction but perhaps this is might help with strollers blocking the paths during high traffic.

Well there still seems to be a planter there, so hopefully some shade will still be happening. What a mess.

Thanks for the Photo!

Wow that is even a bigger mess. Can't wait to see what it all turns out to be. Seems like a few of the photo's have some infrastructure issues. The one thing I am noticing is there are not construction workers. With the heavy equipment it must be noisy so I am guessing they are springing for night work.

So happy to see that some of the more mature trees were salvaged.

In the one photo you can see a mobile lighting source and I know from 10 years of experience doing concrete construction that no part of that kind of work is quiet. Concrete work is usually pretty messy, dusty and sometimes wet as well. The odd thing is the work site is incredibly clean, Which I guess shouldn't surprise me, but it stood out. I guess "disney clean" applies to construction work too. It's nice to see anyway as it means it's a safer work site.

Yep. Your right. My dad was a contractor. He never got hurt because his sights were clean. Also things didn't disappear.

Funny he did his share of hospital work. He WS contacted mostly at night. Sick didn't have energy to fight about noise but the sick relatives did so night it was.

Any idea how long this will be going on? It's quite the eye sore :( and takes away the place where I like to watch wishes from.
I'm sorry to report that the place that you like to watch Wishes from no longer exists. This area is being re-developed purposely to create new traffic patterns of guests in areas that are impossible to see the fireworks from. (With the strategic placement of new trees and walkways.) Expect the project to open up more of the Hub to watch the show from, however. The areas surrounding the Hub though, are another story.

Well yuck. I liked being in it and yet still a bit far from the maddening crowd. Pout!

So are they enclosing the seating area outside of Casey's and making the pathways now on the other side rather than in between Casey's and the seating area? That area was always such a bottleneck, especially close to park closing. From the pics, it does look like a short wall is being built, kinda like what they did at Pinnochio's.

Casey's refurb is scheduled through 2/15 but Crystal Palace has a refurb starting 2/17. Are they just moving from one area to another? I'm assuming the mess in front of Casey's will be gone when they reopen? Thanks @roj2323 for the pictures.

Does anyone know when all this construction will be done? I'll be there March 7-15th, and am hoping this won't be a mess still. Also, noticed someone said Crystal Palace was refurbing on 2/17. How long will that go on for? Thanks!
