Random bald head=DISTRACTING, lol
RIGHT?!!!!! That happens so often it's ridiculous. I notice baldness a lot more as a photographer than when I'm just going about my life. At weddings and a lot of the university events I shoot, it's very common. But I know a lot of men are super self-conscious about it, so I try not to let it bother me too much.

I could barely pay attention to the show because of this man's head LOL. I edited him out of all of the pics except for this one :)

Totally agree about the castle at dusk. :inlove:

You captured BOG perfectly!!! I get so upset because I can't get decent pictures inside, but you tackled the feat just fine! :inlove: I'm so anxious to get back there in June!

"Vacation me" is also loaded... My dad calls me "Rockefeller" when I'm at Disney. :hilarious: I found myself gasping at the prices of your drinks but I know full well I'd pay them without batting an eye if I were currently at Epcot.

Enjoying the TR greatly :joyfull: You guys are lucky to be shocked at the drink prices....where I live, $10-15 drinks are the norm. :depressed: Although even I was taken aback in Universal - we did ONE frozen butterbeer and asked them to add a shot of cinnamon whiskey - was like $19 total :jawdrop:

I'd love to sample that violet lemonade! Wonder if it's a temporary spring thing only or is it avail in late May/early June as well?

All caught up :)

Your pictures are better than my memory when I sit and reminisce about Disney World! Be Our Guest looks absolutely stunning in your shots! And I love the magic shot with Lumiere! You look beautiful without makeup!

I am so jealous of all my Disney friends getting to see Wishes again before it goes away forever! The music always makes me cry! I am living through reports for its farewell tour. I guess I really shouldn't complain because my last viewing of Wishes was on the roof of the Contemporary, but I can whine a little if I want too!

Cool to see Caribbean Beach before all the changes start happening! I remember loving the colors and vastness of it all, wonder how it will change with DVC and the gondolas!!

One day I will do a solo Disney trip! I admire this so much, it is something on my bucket list! :)

Loving your pics Sheriff! Vacation me doesn't mind a little splurging but mostly keeps it in check. At home me is pretty frugal so it balances out fairly nicely. Sorry about your walk with luggage after checking in at CBR, we were confused about the process too but at least we had our car. Looking forward to the rest of your report.

Edited to add - BTW not liking selfies or in generally having your picture taken is pretty much a guy thing, most of us now we are nothing special to look at and only put up with it for you ladies.

Love the report and beautiful photos with the Fuji!

I've never eaten at Germany and currently debating that. Wow those drink prices!

Very nice and worthwhile trip to St. Pete's!
Thanks! I know when I see your next report, I'll be coveting your Sony. I need to rent the A9 when it comes out! You should definitely try Biergarten sometime. Even if the food isn't appealing to you, you'll find something you like! They have stuff like macaroni, roast and various potato dishes that are very good.

I know I already mentioned your photos but they are seriously amazing!! Ecspecially the sunset and nighttime photos of the attractions. The colors are beautiful :inlove: we need to get you hired by Disney!
Dream job! For real. If my husband would move to Orlando, I would do it and apply to Yellow Shoes every chance I got :joyfull:

Thank you!! I was so mesmerized in there, so I'm glad the pictures showcase it well :)

I guess I don't buy drinks when I'm out, so I don't realize how much they really cost. Beer at sporting events around here is usually $8-12 depending on the beer, but at least that's a big size. The stuff you get at the festival is like 3 ounces o_O. Also, I'm pretty sure the violet lemonade is just for Flower & Garden. I wish they'd make it permanent!

Loving your trip report!! All of your pictures are amazing especially the castle! Looking forward to more.
Thank you for following!

You're too sweet! Thanks for reading. I am so sad you don't get to see Wishes again since you love it so much :(. But like you said, your last memory of it was a pretty amazing one, so that's good! I'll be interested to see how CB changes too. We probably won't stay there again, but we might check it out one day when the refurb is done.

Thanks for following along! I'm mostly frugal at home too...balance is important! I have definitely noticed it's mostly guys who hate having their picture made, so you're onto something! Thank goodness you put up with it :joyfull:. I encounter it a lot shooting weddings. I am lucky that most grooms I've worked with have been cooperative even though they hate it. The things you'll do for love!

Day 5 - MK

I don't think we got up terribly early for our MK day. The park had extra magic hours every morning we were there, but I didn't feel like getting to the park at 7am. I knew we were coming back two more times this year, so we honestly didn't rush AT ALL this trip. R actually said he really enjoyed that.

I think we arrived around 8:30, and the Space Mountain wait time was only about 20 minutes, so we headed that way since I didn't make a FP+.

On the way over, I had to get a picture with the purple wall in my purple shirt. It smells like grape! I dunno why, but it does :joyfull:. I was trying to give this shirt away because it was fitted, but I'm glad I ended up keeping it.

Making weird faces in space!

I always look at the light instead of the camera, like an old school Olan Mills portrait.

According to my pictures, we went to Haunted Mansion to catch that before the line got too long. I believe it was around 15 minutes. I took some pictures in line.

That lens does some weird lens flares. I mostly avoid flares in my work, but at Disney I can't very well reposition my subjects :joyfull:

Next I believe we were just spending some time exploring.

We got one of our favorite snacks, orange swirl. Also, I should get my nails done next time...my mother-in-law does nails, but I never get mine done. It might be fun for Disney though!

I thought we didn't have a Pirates FP, but apparently we did. It's R's fav, so we HAVE to do it every trip. There was a kid in front of us in line absolutely losing his *you know what*. I made the call toward the end of the line to let some folks ahead of us...I pretended we were considering leaving and then decided against it and rejoined the flow. The kid still ended up being in our boat...he was in the front and we were in the back. Luckily he didn't scream the whole time, and there was some distance between us, so it was fine.

Someday maybe I'll take my main camera with me and shoot dark rides. I could get some killer images in there! Alas, I'm too lazy to carry it around. This would have been a perfect trip to do it too, because I already had it down there with me. I don't have a strap for it though, so I'd need to get one.

We started walking back to Main Street, but we decided to cut back up behind the castle because our 7 Dwarves FP was coming up. Of course I wanted a picture with the fountain.

Day 5 continued - More MK fun

I'm so confused about the order that we did things, but I THINK we had our 7 Dwarves FP next.

I spotted one of the cast members I follow on Instagram as I was getting off the ride, and I said hi. I'm sure I was as awkward as possible, but whatever. I would be willing to bet she's used to that.

We still had quite a bit of time before our next FP, and we were hungry. So what do we do? Double back of course .

Passed the Fairy Godmother meeting. We also saw the step sisters there at one point. So fun! I would have gotten in line, but it was loooooooong.

We went to our fav, Pecos Bill

We usually share the nachos, and we remembered why about halfway through our meal. Neither of us could finish the whole tray. But at least we got to dress them up how we wanted instead of compromising!

Ok so our next FP was for Big Thunder Mountain! There were two parades on this day, and I believe this one was at 12? I grabbed a Mickey bar (how...how did I have room in my stomach for that) and we just watched it from a ways back. I LOVE this parade. It kind of killed me to not have a good spot, but I was really trying to be relaxed this trip since R had mentioned he was enjoying that approach.

Our window finally opened and off we went onto the wildest ride in the wilderness!

Another version of the shot I took on Sunday night. This time with my camera. I like the phone shot at dusk better :inlove: ALWAYS DUSK.

Big Thunder is becoming one of my favorites. I used to LOOOOVEEEE Space Mountain, but these days I'd take Big Thunder and Splash any day!

Speaking of Splash, we thought maybe we would do standby for that.

Errrr, never mind o_O. So what should we do? Well, the only thing I could get a FP for at that time was Pooh. So off we went! How do we get there? The train! We don't ride this every time, so I was excited to hop on.

We didn't wait long to depart the station, and as we were leaving, we saw some poor folks stranded on Big Thunder. That could have been us!

Day 5 continued

So we made our way over to Pooh and used our FP. We got through the first couple of rooms to when Pooh dozes off. And then the ride dozed off...

The lights came on, the music stopped. It was only a couple of minutes before a message came on the intercom saying something about the ride stopping. I wish I could remember what it said. At this point I still thought it would start back, but pretty soon a cast member came walking through and told us we would be escorted off the ride.

While we waited, the kid in front of us pointed out a hidden Mickey to our left

Good eye, kiddo! This little boy was riding with his Grandma and I wanted to join them for the rest of their trip...they were adorable. The grandma mentioned she'd never been taken off a ride, and she'd been coming since the park opened! This was our first time too. I'm glad it was a relatively easy ride to get out of.

First a mechanic came over to push our ride vehicle forward so that it wasn't between rooms.

Then two cast members came by along with the people from the vehicle in front of us. They gave us two FP+s (one for each of us) and manually opened the door. Then we all went to the next car back and continued that process for about 5 more ride vehicles. Everyone seemed pretty cool with it, and the cast members worked really fast.

I was trying to be discreet about photos. I don't think they wanted people taking any. There was nothing we couldn't see while we're on the ride though, so I figured it didn't matter. One of the CMs pointed out another hidden mickey in the garden

You can't see it in the picture, but she's pointing at it if you want to look next time you ride :). I didn't want to stop walking to get a good shot (I think that's why they didn't want people taking pictures...because they stop and slow things down). This whole process couldn't have been more than 15 minutes.

So once we got out, we headed to the exit. We were planning to come back for dinner, so we figured we would use our extra FP then.

We stopped for some pictures in front of the castle

When we got back to Caribbean Beach, we headed to the food court to get sodas. I also wanted to check out the store.

We bought our $3 sodas and while we were filling them up, someone very sweet gave us their refillable mugs! They were about to leave and didn't want to keep them. WOO! I mean, I wish we had gotten them before we spent the money on our own, but hey...I'm happy to have free soda for the rest of our stay. We washed them then filled them up. Thank you, kind strangers!!

I ended up not walking around the store much. It was super busy in there, but I came back several times, so no worries.

We went back to the room and rested. Well, R rested in the room. I rested here:

Yeah baby! Hammocks are my jam. I didn't have much trouble this whole trip getting a hammock, and this was right outside our window. PRAISE! It was glorious out too, even in the sun. It was hot, but there was a breeze most of the day.

I think I ended up laying there for about an hour and reading/napping. I was reading Night Circus, which was really good. I know @prfctlyximprct has read it!

I took a few more pictures when we walked back to the food court later to fill our mugs again.

The resort really grew on me after the arrival fiasco. I still don't love that it's sooooooo huge and I can't see the whole resort without taking an hour long walk, but I get that it would be appealing to some. The atmosphere in the Jamaica area was quite nice.

I love that you said hi to the cast member! I follow so many, especially from stalking Rivers of Light, j bet they all steer clear of me when they see me in the parks! Lol!

I also follow this one guy who makes vlogs all the time and he used to have a girlfriend who was a princess and now he has a new girlfriend who's princess Anna.. and wow, I better stop. I am encroaching into the disney circle lol!

The music just got to me and I was welling up.

Right?! Its the music! Thats what worries me about the new fireworks. I'm sure the actual display will be great, but I hope the music is good too  From the brief previews I've heard I fear not...

Big Thunder is becoming one of my favorites. I used to LOOOOVEEEE Space Mountain, but these days I'd take Big Thunder and Splash any day!

This is happening to me too! Now when people ask me what my favorite ride is I hem and haw for like a minute about it :joyfull: Everyone probably regrets asking me!
