Camera vs iPhone 4S for shows, parades, and rides?

I sound like a snob, but I am tired of seeing my craft destroyed with cell phone cameras and crap filters

Unfortunately, when you convey your thoughts using words like "my craft," then "snob" is exactly how it sounds.

Last I checked, no one had a monopoly on photography or on the definition of photography.
