There is a store in FL at MK (used to be called Tinkerbell's Treasures) I believe it goes by something different now like Castle Couture or something but it's right across from the carousel. Ask one of the CM's if you can see where Tinkerbell is. I brought my neice in once and they brought her over to a small vanity and had her look inside the keyhole... a little light twinkled inside and these cool little fiber optic lights flickered around the entire room. It was awesome and my neice was in complete awe.

This one is not so much a *secret* anymore it seems, but here it is for your list -

Find and ride Cinderella*s own personal horse on the Prince Charming Regal Carousel behind the Castle.
It is the only carousel horse that has a golden ribbon wrapped around it*s tail...

Hint- Look in the center rows..mid-to lower tail area.

When Cinderella would appear once in a while to ride her own carousel (back when it had it*s original name..) she would ALWAYS ride this horse.

It is now a fun game...and honor...to find and ride her horse.

Another *secret*....not so secret but worth mentioning -

For the wildest ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, request the seat in the last car, last row.
Ask the CM at load and he/she will make sure you get this coveted seat for the best ride.

There is also one of the trains that runs faster then the others.....but which number....well, that IS a secret!

Me too...but like i said, it is still a secret.
I have yet to have heard a straightforward answer to this long standing CM rumor.

Another fun discovery....while at the MK you might enjoy:

Finding Mr. Toad in the small pet cemetery outside of WDWs Haunted Mansion.
It is the old original stone statue that was once a part of the attraction.

It is the last remainder of this ride that the MK once had...and legend has it one night after a day of dismantling Wild Ride a mysterious Disney Employee placed the statue as a hidden tribute in this location.
Shortly afterwards a sharp eyed fan spotted it up there, and since then it has become a little attraction of it*s own in inner circles.

The pet cemetery is outside of the Mansion*s exit on your left up on the hill...past the mausoleum...also on your left.

Not sure if this is still currant, but here are two *little known* activities you might also enjoy at The Magic Kingdom :

- Ask a CM when you enter the waiting area at the Enchanted Tiki Room if you could have the honor of *waking up Jose* at the start of the show.

- Late in the evening, during Extra Magic Hours, hang around the carousel until right before Park Close.
The carousel holds a *final ride* of the evening and the Fab Five ( Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, & Pluto ) will appear for a group photo in front of the Sword In The Stone sculpture in front of the ride.
Note that the characters pose together only with themselves....NOT with Guests. It is a cool photo op regardless...all of them together in front of the carousel.

It gets even better from this point on....

After this short photo shoot for those who happen to be in the area, all five characters will all get on the carousel with Guests already loaded to ride one final ride for the evening together.
It is a unique experience for those in the right place, at the right time.
Fun to witness...even more fun to ride with them.

If you want to ride, you will have to sacrifice the photo op.
Be IN LINE right before Park close to be loaded for the last ride.
You can also get in line the moment you see the characters appear in the area, before they stand together at the Sword And The Stone sculpture.

You best bet is to just let the CM loading the Carousel that you would like to ride on the last ride of the night and he/she will let you know when that will be.
If i remember correctly, they do not load Guests once the characters are on the carousel.

Once the ride is over, the characters depart and the ride is closed for the evening.

Here is another i remembered ....

Decorate a X-mas tree on display at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square, MK.

The shop is located across the walkway from The Hall Of Presidents, next door to The Liberty Tree Tavern table-service restaurant.

Enter the shop, and look around for a table where a small table top tree is in place.
See if it is decorated.
It is usually undecorated during the early part of the day.

If it is undecorated, ask a CM in the shop if you ( and your family ) can have the honor of decorating it today.
Chances are that they will be more then happy to let you, and when you finish, you may be presented with a Magical Moment certificate.

A Guest is chosen each day to decorate the tree...usually someone celebrating a special moment (Birthday, Wedding, Honeymoon...etc...) is picked from the crowd that wanders through the shop.

Another fun activity....for those in the right place, at the right time....and not shy about talking to Cast !

:)

In the Winnie the Pooh ride, there is a picture of Mr. Toad handing Owl the deed to the ride. It's on the wall on the left side as you enter Owl's house.
Thank you everybody, I can't wait to show the kids ( and as a matter of fact, my wife!) these secrets!

  • To the left of the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular main entrance, there's a tripod in the middle of a construction scene with a rope that goes into a hole. The sign says "Do not pull", but if you do, there's a voice inside the well asking for help, and it goes on for a few minutes!
  • By the entrance to Lights, Motors, Action! in the Streets of America, there's an umbrella on a lightpost, and when you push a button on the umbrella it “rains” overhead!
  • When you're in the Stretching Room in the Haunted Mansion, if you wait until it's almost to the bottom (right as the lights go out), you hear a scream and a thud, like someone threw themselves from the rafters, then if you look up, you can see a ghost on the ceiling

This sounds extremely cool, but I feel like I've been there in this area at close a couple of times in the recent past (within the last 6 months) -- our daughter LOVES the Carousel, and we literally rode it over and over again at the end of one night because there was no line -- and I didn't notice the Fab Five. How recently have your seen this happen? I've got to make sure we're around for this next time -- if this is something they are still doing, we must have JUST missed it.

Hi toasty.
I experienced this a few times several years ago, and the key is it would ONLY happen during Extra Magic Hours.
Did you try riding the 'last ride' during a MK EMH night..? That is when this would take place with the Fab Five.
It was also during 'off season'...September in my case, each visit. They may not do this during Peak Seasons.

As noted, this fun happening may have changed recently as it was about two years ago or so the last time i saw this take place.
I have not been around the Carousel lately during EHM so i am not sure if this was still happening.

It was indeed a very cool 'plus'....and it was not something advertised, promoted, or really known about.

I shared the 'secret' hoping others could benefit, but if this has now been discontinued then that is a shame.
Perhaps someone here will attend a currant EMH and report back.
