    Hi all!

We are planning our dining for our recently booked Fall 2013 Disneymoon! We will be using the DDP for the very first time ever-our package includes 1 TS, 1 QS, and 1 snack per day.

My mother was explaining to us that its wise to eat QS meals where you can get the most bang for your buck, ie not eating a hot dog as a QS meal but a more substantial meal. She said The Land and Flame Tree are good choices. Any other suggestions for QS meals where we get more for our credit?

    Thanks!

Wolfgang Puck Express is the best DDP QS.

It goes to a few things. I went there for Downtown Disney for my last trip for a party of 2. If I wasn't on the dining plan, my party would have spent over $50.00.

They give a lot of food on your plate. The 2nd thing is the price. They have nothing like hot dogs over there.
They offer stuff like breakfast, Salads, pizzas, Sandwiches, soup, and large plates. I recommend looking at their menu.

We like to go to places where we can share a QS meal so we can also use a credit for breakfast if we decide to do that.

I agree with Wolfgang Puck. Nice portion sizes, excellent food, and it has wait staff which is a nic plus.

In Epcot, I love Tangierine Cafe in because the food is great and it's large enough share especially the schwarma platters. Kringla Bakeri in Norway has probably when of the most substantial QS meals available. It comes with a large sandwich (make sure to get them to toast it), a salad, a pastry, and a drink. DH and I can easily share there. We also love Sunshine Seasons. Their pork chop meal is one of my favorite meals at WDW plus they have fresh pastry items for dessert instead of the prepackaged stuff at many of the QS places.

Also, Cosmic Ray's in the MK and Fairfax Faire at DHS have chicken and rib combos that are very large. I am not a huge fan of Cosmic Ray's, but many people love it. My personal favorite QS place in the MK is the Columbia Harbor House. I love their salmon and couscous meal.

In Hollywood Studios, we often get lunch at Starring Rolls. They have sandwiches, chips or an apple, and then you can get one of their awesome pastries for dessert. Since their cupcakes are my favorite, it's a great lunch for me.

I definitely recomment Flame Tree at the AK. The food is great. If you are not in the mood for ribs, we also like Pizzafari. They have great salads, sandwiches and pizza plus the murals in there are wonderful to look at.

Here's a short list of the locations at the parks with at least one entree over $10:

    Magic Kingdom:
    Be Our Guest (lunch only)
    Columbia Harbour House
Cosmic Ray's (The chicken and rib combo is over $14)

    Epcot:
    Katsura Grill (Japan)
La Cantina de San Angel (Mexico)
    Sunshine Seasons
    Tangierine Cafe (Morocco)

Also, Liberty Inn (American Adventure) was testing a small New York Strip steak option several weeks ago that was over $11 if I remember correctly. Not sure if it's still being offered

    Hollywood Studios:
    ABC Commissary
Fairfax Fare (Chicken and Rib combo around $15)

    Animal Kingdom:
    Flame Tree
Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe

Wow you're awesome thanks for all of this!
So if i understood correctly-one of us can use a QS credit, share the meal, then save the other persons QS credit for another meal or day?

Tried it in 2004 and once more in 2010, both times very poor,no wonder they have plenty of seats.

There are many fantastic QS restaurants in Disney. I recommend the following based on the variety and quality of food.

    - Sunshine Seasons
    - Tangerine Cafe (Morocco)
    - Landscape of Flavors (art of animation)
    - Columbia Harbor House
    - Pepper Market (Coronado Springs - Actually a buffet for breakfast and lunch but takes a QS pt)

I just got back two weeks ago. We ate at Cosmic Ray's and noticed that the Chicken/Rib combo was not on the menu any longer. Last year we loved Mexico but this year it was so-so and the Churros have changed to Chirritos (small round skinny donut kind of things).
