Are these pins rare?

Rare? Fairly. They're all limited edition of 2500. Whether they're worth the price asked is completely up to you.

Anything made in the thousands isn't really "rare". They're cool, but don't buy any of this stuff as an investment- just buy it 'cause its cool and you love it. There are a lot of folks out there sitting on boxes of baseball cards from the early nineties that they were going to send kids to college on through selling as "rare". That being said, I have a Carousel of Progress one, a Tiki Room one...and a bunch of Mark McGwire rookie cards...

Buying pins on eBay is pretty gutsy...just so you know you have over a 50% chance of purchasing a fake on the internet regardless of who the seller is or what they say. I'd personally only buy through Disney or trade in-person, but only after severely inspecting the pin being traded (I do know people trade to get rid of their fakes too and even then sometimes you cannot tell).
