Any good napping spots?

Hi, we are going to Disney with a 20 month old. Wondering if anyone has any tips on good napping spots that are in any of the parks (she'll be in a stroller)?

One I think would be good may be the walkway between Tomorrowland and Toon Town (which may actually be closed now due to refurb but you get teh idea).

Sooo, any suggestions?

My kids would just pass out while we were walking. I remember we got to MK, showed the kids the castle, and went around (not through :mad:) the castle to Fantasyland and by the time we got to Dumbo my son was passed out. He was around 2 and a half. I'd say just put the canopy up on the stroller and, well, stroll! The area past POTC on the way to Frontierland is pretty quiet, I think.

I personally enjoy napping in Hall of Presidents in MK and
American Adventure and Impressions de France in EPCOT

There is an area behind Liberty Square that is somewhat quiet, if memory serves me you can exit the Christmas shop and you’ll find it.

If you’re in Epcot, Ellen’s Energy Adventure is always good for a nap. Seriously in the World Showcase the area in the back of the U.K. is quiet, as long as the Beatles knock off isn’t playing.

If your little one is in a stroller follow the advice of “your old friend Dave” just find a bench and take a rest.

My family was at WDW in October 2010 my DD was a year old. I found a spot by Pirates of the Caribbean entrance, (if you are going during a busy time this area might be full) you go thru the entrance and immediately to your left before the stroller parking, there was a small handicapped parking sign this area was shady and completely blocked by trees from the street, there are wheelchairs parked there so it might be full :shrug:. Another area I found was around Liberty Tavern and the Liberty bell, there is a christmas shop which can be busy but there are a few small walk ways around these buildings that can be shady and quiet.

My kids nap anywhere. They will would fall asleep in the stroller and we would get in some adult rides while they sleep. It's great. Some people go back to resorts to nap but I think that wastes time.

As for me, when I would go with friends, SSE was an awesome napping spot and so was Hall of Presidents and the American Adventure.

Best nap at WDW

I don't know why, but the only naps my boys ever took and this is on seperate trips, always happened to be at the shoping area located by the magic carpet ride. There are nice quiet areas there. I guess after not napping the entire trips, this is where it hits them.:snore:

When looking at Pirates, there is an area to the left that I used to get my son down for his nap. It is kind of off to the side, relatively quiet and kinda bumpy...small little bumps which put him right to sleep. One time Capt Hook came out for a meet and greet out of the door back there, so you never know who you will see.

For me, that's what I looked for.

At Epcot, we just walked around World Showcase.

DHS, we walked along the "streets" in the back.

At AK, any of the longer paths that connected the lands were pretty quiet at Nap time.

I have heard of some parents riding the TTA, to give the kids a break, and a nap. The last time we were at AK, the area next to Dinosaur (the wooded path, with all the dino statues) was a great place to sit in the shade and read a book (which my dd did, as I was getting my pic taken with Mickey over in Camp Minnie Mickey, lol).

We use the counter service restaurants, we go in, buy something to snack on while the child sleeps in nice cool A/C, our fav's were Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bills at the Magic Kingdom. Also Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom. My daughter used to fall asleep on the train at the MK, laying in our laps, so we'd ride it around and around and around, lol. At least we were doing something while she was sleeping. :)

in tomorrowland there is a spot right next to the bathrooms and space mountain. it is covered and has benches. never busy there.

A great quiet place where our daughter napped last year is just off of Main Street. When walking toward the castle there is a side street to the right about half way down the street. There is background music and almost no one turns off of Main Street to go back that way. My wife and I took turns getting something to eat. When we were there in March one side was in the sun and one side was in the shade with chairs/benches on both sides. We found it very interesting how busy and packed Main Street was only 20 feet away because it felt like we were all to ourselves.

As someone else said I have heard of people giving their child a bottle or even breast feeding while riding TTA back-to-back until finished.

Last trip I wasn't feeling well on my last day and I needed some quiet shade to lay my head down...we headed to Sleepy Hollow, it's to the left of the castle (from main street) and the area from there to behind the Christmas shop (?) I believe and there was nobody there. Definitely a good quiet spot for a nap. And Sleepy Hollow has good waffles and funnel cakes!
