What was Shades of Green originally named when it opened in 1973?

Here's a hard one;

The name of the original construction project manager hired by Walt and Roy? Where did they hire him from?

It sounds like you're referring to Admiral Joe Fowler who was head of WED Enterprises. They hired him away from the US Navy.

SOG was called The Golf Resort when it opened, the military took it over in 1994 and made it an Armed Forces Recreation Center, it has 288 quest rooms.

The original head of WDW construction was William "Joe" Potter, hired by Walt and Roy in October 1966 strtaight from the New York Worlds fair where he was Exec VP.
