Animal Kingdom Refurb

Hi guys, I'm new here so, please forgive me if this is "old news." I did a search but nothing came up.
On our last trip to WDW, Aug 19-28, DAK cast members were giving bits of information concerning the parks upcoming refurb. Apparantly, Camp Minnie-Mickey will be closing in October/November for good, which includes Festival of the Lion King. This section of the park is rumored by cast members to be replaced with an Avatar movie themed area. Cast members also confirmed that James Cameron has been at DAK daily, scouting Camp Minnie-Mickey.
Again, Sorry if this is "old news."
