This is a great idea...very different. The food sounds good, too.
Just updated that list with pricing and photos.
Decent choices and value. I'm pleasantly surprised.
Any idea where the designated picnic areas are?
Hmm this seems like a pretty cool idea.
yep here is the map
ehh...sounds like a temporary fix for the lack of table service at the park.
WOW! Very nice, very unique! I'm surprised this isn't DDP.
Hope they bring this to the other parks!
That is a very cool idea. My hubby & I are all about picnicking in the park - better yet, a Disney park. This is right up our alley! I'm going to try this out in May for sure. Thanks for posting!
From the link --
There are a lot more picnic spots than I had imagined!
That's interesting! Seems a nice idea.
Hmm....a picnic under the Tree sounds interesting. I wonder what constitutes a picnic spot?
This is an awesome idea! I wonder if there will be an option for only two people.
Meal for 3 is currently the smallest offering.

:sohappy::sohappy: Great Idea Disney!!
This sounds pretty good and I will probably give it a try buy you know its not going to be all good. Already people try to sneak whole plates of food into shows and onto rides and the train to conservation station. I see a lot more mess being left behind by guests because this will only make it easier to carry it in a backpack.
From the brochure:
"If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, Picnic in the Park may be used as a Quick Service Meal. Requires one Adult entitlement per meal amount. For example, a Meal for Three would require three Adult entitlements."
This sounds like a great idea. I will definitely try it next time I'm at DAK.
Sorry I missed that link earlier. Thanks for posting.
So are these newly constructed picnic areas, or are they using existing seating locations?
Which is bizarre since their system doesn't distinguish between Adult and Child Quick Service coupons. Weird.
Separate names with a comma.
