Disney posted this on it social media feeds yesterday, and I am glad they did. It was very sweet. I thought I would share it here. It was from a 25th anniversary screening of Beauty & the Beast done at Lincoln Center in NYC. Angela Lansbury (the original voice of Mrs. Potts in the film) performs the title song as a surprise to the audience, with composer Alan Menken accompanying on piano.
Looks like the DVD/BluRays with also have videos of their original recording sessions 25+ years ago. Still a brilliant film. Compared to Frozen, it shows what a Broadway-caliber animated film should really be. Grace and elegance and fun -- and Angela Lansbury was so much a part of that. Good to see her still out about and hearing the applause. Such a gracious person.
