Al Lutz has this posted on Miceage this morning.

Editor's Note - Oz Heads-Up: MuppetVision isn't aging well and TDA knows it. The temporary 3D previews of upcoming Disney productions are proving more popular than the regular Muppet movie in that DCA theater. The next preview to take over that attraction will be for the upcoming Oz: The Great and Powerful for spring. Now they need to figure out a way to use the actual lobby for these seasonal shows, instead of the tacky exit door strategy they've been using. - Al Lutz

That speaks for itself. And I look forward to this Oz preview. But how much longer can they keep pretending MuppetVision isn't there?

The latest Buena Vista Bugle confirms the Oz 3D sneak peek and also says it will open mid-February.

I love the current Muppetvision, and I hope that someday they'll do a full update of the attraction instead of continuing to use the theater as a venue to promote their latest films.

Why can't they just upgrade Muppet Vision?!?! It's the only thing in the Backlot area that actually fits the theme!

But if it was upgraded and made more visible then thing would change.

We don't know that. Disney thought updating the Matterhorn Bobleds would be a good idea. I really don't know what they were thinking, but the new, tight sleds are a total downgrade from the more spacious sleds before. The Disneyland community hates them, and I personally don't like them.

I don't think Muppets is that popular as an attraction here in California. If it was, MiceChat would be blowing up with complaints right now.

Maybe it's the fact that DL has a lot more repeat visitors than WDW, which is mostly tourists. You can only see the show so many times.

This seems pretty cool not worthy of a new thread but a cool promo. The Oz balloon will be visiting Disneyland on Feb 17th this coming Sun.

We’ll be celebrating the upcoming release of “Oz The Great and Powerful” when the “Journey to Oz Balloon Tour” floats into the Disneyland Resort on February 17. Part of a multi-city tour sponsored by HSN and IMAX Corporation, the tour kicks off February 12 from the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, Calif.

that was more about legal and modernization than trying to make them relevant or popularity. Not really the same deal as changing an attraction's show for the purpose of improving the appeal of it.

That may be true, but I wish they had just given the bobsleds new designs, look-wise. They just had to change the entire vehicle. Ugh.

I read somewhere that this preview would have 4D special effects going along with it. Does anyone think that this preview would actually be worth the time to see?
