Among the (many) reasons I am not a fan of the new Test Track is the fact that....it's all sterile and computerized. The original TT had John Michael Higgins hosting as one of the facility's admins, who along with the technician "Sherrie" (I do not know the actress' name. Does anyone?) would put your car through its paces and tell you what youre going to be doing.
It made it a bit more believable. Now...you have a computerized voice that even Garmin would find boring.
How about...if they were to add a holographic human host. I bring this up because the other day, I re-watched The Time Machine on Netflix. One future scene has Guy Pearce stopping inside the New York Public Library to be greeted by VOX, a holographic AI and "compendium of all human knowledge" portrayed by Orlando Jones.
I think adding something like this would really plus the show up a lot. Just use the same projection system from the Jack Sparrow Show at DHS and add a few effects. Have the host actually *presenting* and reacting to the designs instead of trying to get the riders attention with a flat screen TV showing off scores.
As for the actor...it's hard NOT to say Orlando Jones because, let's face it, I'm basing all this on his role.
Soft-spoken, amiable. Maybe Clark Gregg?
