It's actually a rebootquel ala Tron Legacy. I can at least respect the idea of them doing a passing the torch thing, but with the timing, I can't help but think someone wanted to fast-track a movie about Riri Williams (the new teen black girl Iron Man) but they didn't want to take the risk of doing a "Hey, we're getting rid of Robert Downey Jr for a new actress and new character" thing for an Iron Man 4 or whatever.

Yeah, I read about that too, and I about plotzed. I was actually kind of interested in seeing this Poppins sequel, or whatever it is, too. But if slandering Streep is in it, forget it.

No. That movie had like one good scene - when the dude puts the suit on and he goes zooming past a lady handing laundry and lands in a corn field or something and then says "I like it!" Otherwise the movie was meh. But maybe somebody figured out a way to make it better. That's the usual reason for reboots, right?

Id love more movies about rocketeer. I loved the first one.
Not so sure about Mary Poppins. But Meryl Streep could play batman and still do better than Bale.

Meryl Streep is an incredible actress. Her beliefs and opinions should never matter when it comes to her work as an actor. Whatever she touches is pure gold, and she will elevate this movie to much higher and glorious standards of respect within the film community. You can disagree with what she thinks or believes, but please don't avoid a movie because you don't agree with an actor's opinion, that's just dumb.
