A Goofy-themed dark ride - with no place for it to go?!

Some years ago, I created a thread on a new dark ride with Goofy as part of an improved Toontown Fair:http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/a-goofy-ride.109925/. It was to be a new version of the Roger Rabbit ride, so as to use a character that Disney actually 100% owns. Since then, however, I've had second thoughts about that particular ride, thinking it was too much like the Roger Rabbit ride. So I've been trying to come up with other dark ride concepts with Goofy to use. One of them was this one based on an abandoned concept for "Goofy About Road Trips", which was originally considered for DCA and be about California's car culture, before Cars Land was announced instead. The basic ride concept for this would be loosely based on "A Goofy Movie" and be about a cross-country road trip by the anthropomorphic friend of Mickey's. The attraction took riders on a journey with the absentminded Goofy where things went awry and mayhem ensued. Here are some images based on that:

Another idea I had for a Goofy-themed ride was a ride like another abandoned ride concept called "Dick Tracy Crimestoppers", except with Goofy as a detective.

Unfortunately, with Toontown Fair gone obviously, I have no idea where my Goofy dark ride could go. Does anyone have any ideas of where it can go?

Put it anywhere. I am in:)

But I don't want to just put it in anywhere all willy-nilly. I haven't even pinned down a good theme for it or anything, let alone where to put it. I was originally going to put it in an improved and renamed Toontown Fair, but now that obviously won't work.

Where do you think I could put it?

First off, I like the idea of a goofy ride! Also, it could go in animation courtyard in DHS and replace the disney junior show! Or… (this is a longshot) you could put it near test track and have it be a "car" area! Not cars the movie, just a real car!

Well, I'm really not sure how it can fit in Animation Courtyard. I mean, sure, Goofy is an animated character, but I personally don't think it's enough to have a random ride themed to a cartoon character simply thrown into a park like this.

Make it themed to Goofy touring a country like your original in any of the world showcase locations.

Which country?

Fun idea! This could fit into the animal kingdom. Perhaps goofy goes looking for Bigfoot or Loch Ness or something... Or goes bird watching... Lots of potential for Dinoland even...

I'm sorry, but I just don't see this ride fitting into the Animal Kingdom. Like I said, I don't want to just put this ride in just anywhere. Where would it go in the Animal Kingdom anyway?

One reason, one minor reason, but still a reason, I had originally intended to put it in Toontown Fair (and originally did a ride in the style of Roger Rabbit) was because it was an opportunity to do various Disney-themed license plates on part of the queue, like so:

I was pondering possibly doing something like these pins here, as well:

But license plates would never work in the Animal Kingdom.

It's built right into your artwork even!! Goofy is looking at an eagle. A road trip trying to find wildlife...? I'll let you figure it out.

That's just one piece of artwork. The concept was called "Goofy About Road Trips", which was originally thought of for the California Adventure before Cars Land happened. I wouldn't think that road trips would work in the Animal Kingdom. Certainly not any where mayhem ensues anyway.

Anyway, look at the license plates I put up in post #9. I wouldn't think that license plates would fit in the Animal Kingdom. Certainly not when mounted on some car garage wall, which also wouldn't work.

it could be a safari... the license plates should be a detail you're think weird as if the license plates were the biggest part of the ride that can't be replaced

You're limiting your thinking

I can't help it, that's just how I am. I usually like to try to take logistics into account before I do anything. In other words, I try to ground my ideas in reality. So, to my way of thinking, if an idea doesn't fit thematically or logistically, it won't work.

It also helps to have been to different parks more than once. I have been to Disneyland numerous times, the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and the Studios a few times, and even the California Adventure a few times, but I've only been to the Animal Kingdom once, in 2002, before Everest happened. And no offense, but it's not my most favorite park. We've pretty much dismissed the Animal Kingdom as some big glorified zoo (yes, yes, I know that there have been campaigns pronouncing the park "nahtazu" (pronounced "not-a-zoo"), but that's just how I see it).

The only place where this Goofy ride of mine might work in the Animal Kingdom is in Camp Minnie-Mickey, which has no real attractions anyway, but rumors are persisting that, if Avatar goes forward, then that's where it would go. And then that would be one less place for me to put my ride.

There's already the Kilimanjaro Safaris.

Excuse me?
that last one wasn't an offense. I was saying that you were thinking odd because the license plate is just a funny detail rather than a big part of the ride. and i feel like another safari ride in Camp Minnie Mickey wouldn't feel bad because it's a dark ride.

I know it's only a small detail, but it's the small details that make the experience, right? Besides, I like those license plates. But how could a dark ride themed to a safari work when we already have a safari with real animals in the same park, and without any Disney characters at all, no less?

The only other alternative would be a dark ride in the Studios like Superstar Limo, with Goofy supposedly acting as chauffeur through a Toon-like version of Beverly Hills or whatever. But the question is, would it work? I'm really not sure, if the original Superstar Limo's closure is any indication. There's a whole article on it at Yesterland: http://www.yesterland.com/superstarlimo.html. My main concern stems from part of the article which was written thus:

[T]he majority of guests were disappointed and puzzled by the ride. Where’s the Disney magic? Is this the best Disney can do? Why is Disney recommending tattoos? [...] Disney management closed the ride after less than one year. Reportedly, the typical guest reaction to the ride had been so negative that the park was actually stronger when the only dark ride in the park was closed.

So if Superstar Limo was so bad, I'm really not sure how a revised version would work. But anyway, that's my only other alternative.

How could a dark ride version of a safari ride compete with another, actually-existing safari ride with real animals? And when Camp Minnie-Mickey is (un)officially due to be replaced by Pandora (or whatever it is)?
