Pre-Trip A Friend-iversary to remember!!

I feel like this keeps happening to me! I start a PTR, go to Disney, take a bunch of notes, and pictures, and when I get home, I NEVER post the TR!!!

Actually, that's a lie, I did finish one TR before it you would like to check that one out, it's here

Back to where I was, I am determined to finish this TR, it's also a shorter trip. So hopefully I will actually do what I say!! :p

Let the PTR begin!

This trip has a very small cast compared to how many people I've gone with before....

First, there's me of course :)

Name: Daniel
Age: 19
Trips to WDW: 50 ish
Favorite Park: Hollywood Studios
Favorite Character: Gaston

and that's it.. usually our trips have like anywhere from 5-12 people, so going just the two of us is kinda weird...

Being that we are both college students, and this trip was planned VERY last minute, we couldn't afford to stay on property. So we found a hotel near Old Town about 3 miles away from Disney's main gate. We both rarely ever stay off property, seeing as my family are DVC members. But we wanted to be adults and do this ourselves, so we opted for the cheaper hotel. (we are never really in the hotel anyways, we just needed beds to collapse on at night haha)

Now for the most exciting part, why we are going. Well being passholders, we get the Mickey Monitor, and the most recent one had a villain theme to it. It showed that on Friday the 13, the Villains will be at Hollywood Studios from 8-1 am. Daniel and I love the villains, and we rarely ever get to meet them. So we decided we HAD to go.

It is also very convenient that the weekend we are there marks our 4 year friend- iversary, (4 years since we became best friends) we always celebrate it, because our friendship is very important to us. Without each other we have no idea how our lives would be. So we will be celebrating in the best way ever, at WDW!

For our special dinner like we always do, we wanted to go somewhere we never go. We always go to Raglan Road, Planet Hollywood, and Beaches and Cream. Well I suggested Boma this year. He has never gone and I've only gone once when I was younger. We are foodies, so we love all food. We have reservations for Boma on Saturday the 14, for 4:50 PM. It's kinda earlier than we would like, but it was either that or 8 pm, thats too late. We want to catch the fireworks at MK that night. We are so excited to eat there!

Right now our plans are this:

Friday:
Leave around 8:30 am, stop in Port St. Lucie at Cracker Barrel (We live in Ft. Lauderdale, so this is our halfway point). Eat there

Probably arrive to our hotel by noon. See if we can check in, if not, go to Animal Kingdom to ride the few rides we like there. If we can check in, check in and then go to Animal Kingdom.

Then go back to the hotel, change for the Special Villain night, we will be Disney Bounding that night: if you don't know what that is, it is dressing like a Disney character, but by wearing normal clothes. You wear something in the same color scheme and wear accessories that hint at the character. For example, I'm dressing like Ursula, so I'm wearing black shorts, a white shirt with a purple tank top under it. And a shell necklace. Daniel is going as Gaston, so he's wearing a maroon shirt, black pants and boots. We thought it would be really fun especially to take pictures in

Once we're dressed, go to Beaches and Cream to eat the grilled cheese and tomato bisque (it's a tradition) than off to HS for our fun night with the villains!

That's all I can post for now, I'll post the rest later! Hope you like it :)

Back to post more!

Saturday:

Wake up early enough for park opening at MK, get a waffle for breakfast (they are pretty amazing) do as much at MK as possible until it's time for our dinner reservations at Boma at 4:50. Than back to MK for Wishes!

Sunday:

Wake up, check out of the hotel. Pack the car up and venture off to HS again, we wanna do the American Idol Experience and since this is our last day, we wanna audition early. If we make it, we will take however long it takes and do it. Then go to Epcot, then go home :( we are planning on leaving WDW around 7 pm so we get home around 10. So technically we have almost a full day on day 3

That's really all we have for now... it's a very short trip, but we're so excited. It's both of our first "adult" Disney trips. We paid for everything and are really proud of that. :)

I just had a spark of imagination at this ungodly hour of the day, (its 2 am here, I just got home from work) to show anyone who's reading how much fun we have when we go to WDW I'll share some pictures of our previous adventures......

Us channeling our inner tweedles...

So Daniel and I have these nicknames for each other, one day I called him "Twinith" and it stuck, so we refer to each other as Twinith from time to time, and in our phones that's our name for each other. So EVERY time we see twins, or characters like the tweedles we have to take a picture with it.

Us recreating the New Fantasyland fountain, Daniel is Gaston, so that left me with LeFou... it's only fair, whenever there's something Ariel, I make him be the other person haha

Daniel, me, and my sister being T-rex's on SM... We make some weird faces on rides.... :D

Daniel gets a little... um... crazy on Buzz, I get super competitive and serious haha

So that's a taste of what we should be in store for... lost of funny pictures and weird faces. Can't wait!

So I just read a post on here about what the Unleash the Villains Limited Time Magic event is going to have (which is the main reason this trip is happening) and I got so excited!!! I know some people here don't like the dance parties, but I think they're cool if there a one time thing... Like this, when can you dance with the villains? and there's a fireworks show at midnight?? how cool! Definitely more psyched now
