Finally getting around to converting my grandfathers slides to digital. I started with the tray of slides from our trip in August of 1977. I will be 41 next month and still enjoy it just as much today as I did back then. Not only is it a trip back in time but astounding that this was peak season of the time!!! Anyway, enjoy.

Thanks for sharing! I've got some Skyway slides and pics that my parents have that I'd like to transfer to digital - they're the best.

Nice Pro-Keds btw! ;)

Your picture is the same one that I posted a few days ago, but mirrored and not cleaned up yet.

A couple of them might be store bought ones too while we were there. There was disney markings on the slide surround of a couple of them but I thought that was because my grandfather had them developed there. Anyway...enjoy.

Ruh Roh George. Also, using glass break effects on pictures isn't the best idea.

So you are saying I am misrepresenting these photos???? Seriously, read my reply above. No "effects" were used and that is a hair on a store bought slide...get your facts straight.

For the record, I'm not implying anything. Just curious to see the same picture come up. I got my picture from Widen Your World, they give no further source. http://www.omniluxe.net/wyw/adv.htm
I remember that WDW sold a lot of slides - these were the days before digital cameras. Bought slides were professional photographs for the same price as developing your own. I'm sure I have got a lot of them mixed with my private slides as well, the way my WDW postcards are mixed with my private pictures too.

Wonderful pictures! Look at the big trees they used to have in Fantasyland, the village roofs in earthy colours and not ridiculous blues, the open space in Adventureland and 20K. They need to bring these back (well maybe it's a little late for 20K ;)).

Not to worry I took no offense to your post, in fact it cleared up why there were Disney markings on the slide.

I do take offense to being accused of doctoring my picture with an effect by others though. There are around 150 slides in that album and I doubt I was able to do effects in all of those including inserting a chubby redahired version of myself from 30+ years ago.

No, I wasn't implying anything. Sorry if it came off that way. I just thought it was amusing that the two of you had a *very* similar photo.

we actually pulled these out of the storage unit and put them up on the "big screen" the other night. It was a lot of fun for us to all look at them together and see how much things had changed. Our 9-year old DD was pretty confused and could not wrap her head around 20K Leagues or where exactly it was.
