This is pretty cool. My Mom and Dad visited WDW last week, and my Mom sent me an email from one of these stations...pretty cool.:D

How much did it cost...?
mktiggerman posted it is .25 cents a min...but is that to check your e-mail...and do other non-disney stuff?

Cool...you can file your trip reports on here now...when you are in the park..;)

It really is a good idea, but I want to clarify something. With this, I can check Dining Reservations and see if there are times available, like directly to the computer instead of talking to someone?

So as I´m understanding, you can make your own reservations? Wouldn´t that be a mess? I mean, anyone could come and block seats for dinner under different names and not show up. If every restaurant hostess can do that for me, I don´t see why I would bother doing it myself when I can just walk to the nearest one and ask for a reservation at any other restaurant! :animwink:

A Blast from the past?????

This stuff sounds really cool as long as they do it with some theme. But dose this not sound just like the stuff they had at E.P.C.O.T. Center years ago?????? I remember 2 or 3 places where you could make your reservations and get guest service, they had touch screens and a camera so you could talk to a cast member.......... Or am I just thinking of the old thing they had in the Wonders Of Life area??? Or do I have the two things mixed up?

I can´t remember the name of that, but you are right, it was at Epcot, they had a line of screens next to GR in Future World. and they had another stand in front of the WSC Plaza, across from the Odyssey Building, and another one in Germany. Those were touch screens, you are right, and you could talk to a GR hostess. They were discontinued in 99.

Yep, that was the first test of "a high speed communications network of computers" They were known as WorldKey, Epcot's first test of "a high speed communications network of computers" for a pratical use. Now they are outdated. Too bad, it may have really developed into something. Yep, Disney was the first to test the internet, not Al Gore. :)
